MANY QUESTIONS ABOUND IN 2019: As always, there are a lot of intriguing aspects to look at come the start of a new high school season
BATAVIA — Welcome to the 2019 fall
high school sports season, which is ex-
pected to be just as exciting as the 2018
year in which numerous sectional titles,
Far West Regional championships, and
NYS place finishers were crowned.
And can’t forget about O-A/Elba’s foot-
ball title during their 8-man season.
There will be a lot of questions this
coming year ...
Can Batavia football possibly make an-
other run towards the top of the Section V
Class B podium — which would be a fifth
title in six years?
Can the Oakfield/Alabama cross coun-
try team, despite losing five of their top
seven runners to graduation, continue to
stay amongst Section V’s elite programs
