INTRODUCTION

According to Cygnus estimates business education market in India is about Rs.35 billion
in 2009 (Campus and distance education together) and growing at a rate of 14% CAGR
in last 3 years. Currently approx 1,550 business schools producing over 100,000
management graduates every year is Expectations of the industry.

Amity University is a private multi-campus university in India. It was founded by Dr.


Ashok Chauhan under the. Its campuses are Noida, jaipuar, Lucknow.

Amity Business School, Amity Institute of Biotechnology and Amity School of


Engineering & Technology, Amity International Business School are among best
Colleges under Amity University in India. Amity University and fully air conditioned
classes in India. Amity University is Ranked No.1 Private University in India by
Education Times in 2008.

Amity institute of biotechnology was founded in 1994. It belongs to the technological


sector of Higher Education and as such it combines the appropriate theoretical studies
with high level practical work, it is engaged mainly in applied technological research and
develops technical knowledge and innovations to respective professional fields.
Moreover, it puts the emphasis on the education of young executives, who, with their
theoretical background and practical training:

1) comprise the link between knowledge and application by developing the applied
dimension of science in the respective occupational fields.

Formulating a location strategy typically involves the following factors:

 Facilities. Facilities planning involve determining what kind of space a college will
need given its short-term and long-term goals. As amity university is operating

 Feasibility. Feasibility analysis is an assessment of the different operating costs
and other factors associated with different locations.
 Logistics. Logistics evaluation is the appraisal of the transportation options and
costs for the prospective manufacturing and warehousing facilities.
 Labor. Labor analysis determines whether prospective locations can meet a
college's labor needs given its short-term and long-term goals.
 Community and site. Community and site evaluation involves examining whether
a college and a prospective community and site will be compatible in the long-
term.
 Trade zones. University may want to consider the benefits offered by free-trade
zones, which are closed facilities monitored by customs service’s where goods
can be brought without the usual customs requirements. The United States has
about 170 free-trade zones and other countries have them as well.
 Political risk. college considering expanding into other countries must take
political risk into consideration when developing a location strategy. Since some
countries have unstable political environments, university must be prepared for
upheaval and turmoil if they plan long-term operations in such countries.

abroad by opening more campuses.
 Governmental regulation. University also may face government barriers and
heavy restrictions and regulation if they intend to expand into other countries.
Therefore, university must examine governmental—as well as cultural—
obstacles in other countries when developing location strategies.
 Environmental regulation. University should consider the various environmental
regulations that might affect their operations in different locations. Environmental
regulation also may have an impact on the relationship between a college and
the community around a prospective location.
 Incentives. Incentive negotiation is the process by which a college and a
community negotiate property and any benefits the college will receive, such as
tax breaks. Incentives may place a significant role in a college's selection of a sit
