The Book Of John John 4:7-11

A woman from Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” (For his disciples
had gone away into the city to buy food.) The Samaritan woman said to Him, “How is it that you, a
Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria?” (For the Jews have no dealing with
Samaritans.) Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and Who it is that is saying to you,
“Give Me a drink,” you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water. The
woman said to Him, “Sir, you have nothing to draw water with, and the well is deep. Where do you
get that living water?

There’s a Word for that! Compassion

How do we put on a compassionate heart? Ask God. He has promised that anyone who asks for
wisdom, will receive it. Ask for the wisdom to have a compassionate heart at school.

Colossians 3:12 – Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts,

kindness, humility, meekness and patience, bearing with one another, forgiving each other as the
Lord has forgiven you, so you must forgive.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Help us Lord, to act like Your chosen ones, being

holy and beloved with compassionate hearts for all
those we interact with at school. Show us how to be
kind, to display meekness, and be patient by bearing
with one another and being a forgiver, just as You

have forgiven us. Lord, have mercy on us when we

are convicted that we have not been compassionate
and to repent and repair that error quickly. We ask
in the merciful name of Jesus. Amen.
