A woman from Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” (For his disciples
had gone away into the city to buy food.) The Samaritan woman said to Him, “How is it that you, a
Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria?” (For the Jews have no dealing with
Samaritans.) Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and Who it is that is saying to you,
“Give Me a drink,” you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water. The
woman said to Him, “Sir, you have nothing to draw water with, and the well is deep. Where do you
get that living water?
How do we put on a compassionate heart? Ask God. He has promised that anyone who asks for
wisdom, will receive it. Ask for the wisdom to have a compassionate heart at school.
Colossians 3:12 – Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts,

kindness, humility, meekness and patience, bearing with one another, forgiving each other as the
Lord has forgiven you, so you must forgive.
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on
its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the
truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.
