The success and final outcome of the project required a lot of guidance and assistance from many
people. All that I have done is only due to such supervision and assistance and I would not forget
to thank all of them.

I respect and thank my project teacher Dr. Vipin varma , for providing me an opportunity to do
the Community Development Project (tutor children during or after school) and giving me
all support and guidance which made me complete the project properly, which also helped me in
doing a lot of work and I came to know about so many things.

Secondly I would like to thank my friends, anganwadi teacher and family who helped me in
knowing a lot of things about my project and helped a lot in finishing this project within the
limited time given by my institute.

And Finally, I would like to thank sarpanch of my village for giving me an opportunity in the
village to do service of my own in their leadership. I am really thankful to them for accepting me
to do good things in my village.

In this project, I had done hygienic work in my village as the literacy rate is very low in my
village.I am making this project not only for marks but also to increase my human ethics and
knowledge.

INTRODUCTION
Introduction to GPO(GRAMA PANCHAYAT OFFICE):
TUTOR TO THE CHILDREN is a Community development project
undertaken by our GRAMA PANCHAYAT working on key issues of children
,education and literacy. It was established in 1999 in kothakamalapuram in order to
improve the lives of people and our environment through the above conflicts.

Insight:
Problem Solving. As a tutor, you have to have great problem-solving skills — and
not just math ones. ...

students and even multiple subjects that you are teaching. ...

Purpose:
The purpose of tutoring is to help students help themselves, or to assist or guide
them to the point at which they become an independent learner, and thus no longer
need a tutor. This might sound as if a good tutor would be working him/herself
right out of a job. But not to worry – there’s no end to the number of people who
need and will benefit from the tutoring exchange.

Intention:
1. Offers a unique and individualized learning experience.
2. Increases good study habits.
3. Improves academic performance, retention, and personal growth.
4. Encourages higher level of thinking.
5. Improves self-esteem.
6. Helps you become an independent learner.

About community development project:

I am very happy that I have worked with such a good GRAMA
PANCHAYAT on a Community development project TUTOR CHILDREN
DURING OR AFTER SCHOOL.I have been working there from 10th June 2019
to 10th July 2019.my sarpanch helped a lot to do such a nice projet. Teacher of
anganwadi center also helped me alot in the progress of project. I am proud to say
that I had done something to my society.

I tried my best to tutor the children after school to improve their skills

Education is the most powerful weapon, that can change the world

Problem Identification:
When I returned to my village after college .I went
to some of the anganwadi centers near me and I went to near school .I came to
know that some children are not yet joined in the school or anganwadi centers to
start their education .after the my 1st work has to talk with the parents to tell about
the importance of education .how it is helpful in the future to lead good life.
After completion of anganwadi some children are not
going to school because of their financial problems. Some children are not able to
get proper and quality education as the standards in the government schools are not
well as compared to the private schools. So parents are not interested to send their
children to schools.
As the children are not going to school regularly they are
unable to understand the topics in class. After reaching school they are not
studying moreover they don’t know what is going on in the class. Then they unable
to get good marks in the exams. After getting result their parents are not letting
their children to school and sending them to fields or daily labor.

Cause of the problem Identified :

Definitely there will be a cause behind every
problem. For the problems in our village people awareness of education is the
cause for this education problem. They don’t have awareness about education and
advantages of educaton.
They are sending their children to fields . Some people
send their children to work as a daily labour in hotels and apartment. Due to that
many children go to work rather than going to school.so the anganwadi centers are
empty as well as nearby schools . There are two anganwadi centers in our village
but no one is using them. I have to create awareness to them to send their children
to school.
Instead of that, the anganwadi teachers are also not
awaring people about education .so as usually people are interested to send their
children to fields instead of schools . some people are interested to send their
children to schools but the parents are not aware about the studies.so children are
not studying after school and wasting their time. They unable to get good results.
So, parents changing their mindset and showing interest to send their children to
fields.
Finally, the cause of the problem is Identified and
various steps has to be taken to resolve the problems. Our anganwadi madam
helped me to create awareness in the people to show interest in sending their
children to school instead of fields.

Objectives to be achieved :
Many villages in our district is facing such type of problems. Many of
us are being affected by the same problems as mentioned above and we are the
reason for all that thing. We are doing mistakes by our own and we are being
affected. So we have to find a way for the problems and find out the solutions
which will help to change their present life style which has a long impact on their
future lives.
List of objectives to be taken to achieve the changes:
• To create awareness among people
• Development from all sides
• Change in way of thinking
• To create motivation in public.

1. To create awareness among people: The main intention of our community

development project is to make the people aware about education and
advantages of education.

2. Development from all sides: The people have to show their interest in
community development program in all aspects. The Development is
compulsory in these problems from all sides. Then only there will be a result
that leads us to good living for the children .

3. Change in way of thinking: Each and every person has to change their
thinking way. They have to think about the importance of being educated. It

gives us the confidence to new life style. It helps

to build mental ability to think about how society is developing and
importance of education.

4. Solving community development problems: Many children are facing

problems as they are going to fields rather than going to schools. All of these
problems can be solved by the start of such development programs to bring
awareness among the people.

5. To create motivation in people: By this community development program,

we have to motivate the public through motivational speech about the
education and importance ,advantages of being educated.
The people must have to be
aware of the things that are facing by them through their thinking. Each and
every person has to make the step forward to their development programs
provided by Government.

Motivation makes the person more powerful

Various Actions taken to achieve the objectives:

Many steps has been taken to achieve this community development
program. I divided my project into separate parts to do one by one most
effectively.

The steps taken to achieve the objectives are as mentioned below.

➢ Creating awareness in the people

The people are not educated they don’t have
awareness about the education, importance, advantages of education and being

educated.

As the children In the schools and anganwadi are very less. So, with the
help of anganwadi teacher I went to people house to create awareness
among them. make them understand how today society is changing and
how the we want to change to run in the fast growing society .we talked
with them and created awareness in them. We also gave some gifts to
them.

➢ Taking small children to anganwadi center

As the children are habitat to stay in the home daily .they are not
interested to go to new places like schools ,anganwadi centers .we want
take them and make them to sit in anganwadi .it is the first step to create
change in my village.

➢ Creating interest among children

It is very difficult to create interest among small children and it is very

difficult to drag them to school or anganwadi center daily.we want create
interest in them to go to school .

➢ Taking care about health of children

As they are just growing tender roots they need some good nutrients .as

we already know anganwadi centers provide hygienic food to children who

are studying in center like egg , upma , flour(balamrutham). We want to
take care about that to supply them to each and every student. then after
completing above steps.

I also combined with the teachers of anganwadi teachers and I took

some classes to that small kids. I taught some of the basic like
identifying colors ,Animals ,fruits .
As they are just growing kids they are
the best topics to teach. I conducted some of the physical activity classes to
them. They enjoyed a lot with the activities, I also enjoyed a lot with them
.as they are enjoying and learning they attracted to centers ,attending
regularly .

❖ I decided to tutor some of the government school children.so I have a

small words with the parents to
sent them to the daily tuition
.surprisingly they all agreed to
sent them to my tuition .as the
number of children studying in
government school are less .so,
I unable to find many students
to tutor. I finally gathered 4 or
5 children. Some days in my
tuition also the strength is not
same it is gone increased some
days and decreased some days. Same it is repeating the schools and
anganwadi centers.

❖ first I decided to cover the syllabus which is going on in their regular

classes.
As they are not attending classes
regularly. they unable to know
the syllabus.
So I decided to cover regular
syllabus with them. then I
started telling some general
knowledge ,current affairs.

The above mentioned are the

various steps taken by me to achieve the objectives discussed. Every aspect
mentioned above was given me a lot of confidence and I am glad to participate in
events like this. Our village changed a lot when compared to the past. The streets
are clean until the day and public toilets were used in a very proper manner.

Innovativeness and uniqueness of the project:

The people in our village are
not interested to send their children to schools and anganwadi centers.
Particularly this project has no uniqueness rather than me about creating the
awareness among the people. But at some point of time this project helped the
people in our village showing interest towards education.

There is no more strength because parents are not

interested to send their children to even anganwadi centers, same as parents not
interested to send their children to school. People need awareness about such
type of issues. I aware them about the problems and they step out with me for
development . it is the innovativeness as they motivated by me and they desired
development of village. Many programs have been conducted by the villagers
themselves to develop our village.

People are able to send their children to anganwadi

and schools regularly. Many innovative things have been done in the village . Due
to the things done by me in the village, many families who are not sending their
children to learn new things which are helpful and useful for them and the others.
Their families got awareness about educating people.

Everybody started sending their children to send their children to

schools .I consulted the my local anganwadi head to know the performance in
anganwadi .she told me that they are very energetic and and having good
response ,they are performing well .some educated mothers started teaching
their children. Taking care about their studies and marks after completion of
school ,it is best thing that happened after completion of my project.

Effectiveness of the project:

Due to this project many people in our village changed
their life style and their children life from being routine. I consulted my sarpanch
to start a committee .he stand with me and They formed a committee for the
sake of the village development . And now they are able to make their own
decisions to develop their village in various aspects like to send their children at
the early age to habitat school atmosphere.

The president of the village also showing interest in the

development of his gram panchayat. The things done by our villagers are
unpredictable as they did it in a fewer days. It shows us the interest they have
among the development of village and their children development.

The changes occurred in our village also effected the surrounding villages and
they are also doing the same things as that of in our villages. They are also paying
attention towards their children skills development. my sarpanch said that new
anganwadi centers and government schools are going to construct in near my
villages .
The head of the village gets connected with
another village sarpanch and making the things which are useful for the
development of their villages. Many children who are not going to schools are
now able to go to school to study as their family members are motivated by
educated people. The children.
Many people get effected by this project undertaken by
me. Their livelihood has been accordingly changed in to healthy persons .as my
village is backward in development they are not allowing children to do higher
studies. At the end of my project all children are going school daily .and learning
new things. I also tried my level best to improve their skills. I also motivated
parents who are going to give birth to babies to start their children education at
their early stages.

Conclusion:
Tutoring can be very effective. Parents who try to tutor their own
child at home sometimes become frustrated and bad-tempered. Parents might
also tutor the way they were taught at school, which might be quite different to
the way the subject is taught in school today. So there are especial dangers when
parents try to ‘help’ children with homework, especially when the children are
older and their schoolwork is more advanced.

Take care and discuss exactly how you can help with your child’s
schoolteachers. Lastly, education is important for the progress of nation which
means we must equip ourselves with a good education. ... In conclusion,

education is self-empowerment. It helps us to tap into talent, so that you may be

able to sharpen your skills. It is important for everyone to have education in life.
At the end of my last days of project I came to know the
performance of the children, who I tutored ,is improved and the strength of the
school and anganwadi also increased .and parents are showing interest to join
their children in schools and anganwadi to start their children education.
