POSTER PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

TERMS AND CONDITIONS


1. Presenter MUST bring their hard copy of the posters on their own LATEST on
presentation day.
2. The language medium for both written and oral tasks must be in English.
3. Presenters are not allowed to use SMS (short messaging service) language in their
entries.

POSTER SESSION SCHEDULE AND SET UP

Poster Sessions will run for one day as determined by the Organiser. Schedules are as follows:

1. Presenters must prepare their own poster for presentations.

a. Set up by presenters: 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m


b. Open: 8.00 a.m. to 12:30 noon on 20 November 2015
c. Poster presenters must be present in front of their posters during the poster
viewing and judging sessions.
d. Presenters are required to take down their posters from 1.00 pm to 3.00p.m. The
Organiser are not responsible for posters left after this deadline.

POSTER SPECIFICATIONS/ GUIDE LINE

1. Poster presenter MUST produce their poster using any software that can save to JPEG
format. (e. Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, etc.).
2. Posters must be designed to A1 size (Potrait Orientation only)
3. Problem statement, objectives and brief on research should be done neatly and clearly
with the combination of texts, images, diagrams and/or graphics. As such, please follow
the flow of poster presentation below:
a. Research Background (theory/problem statement/objective (s) /research
question(s) etc.)
b. Methodology
c. Discussion
d. Conclusion
e. References
4. Design layout at presenters’ own creativity
5. Text and figures should be readable to someone standing at a distance of six feet.
Adjust font and image sizes accordingly.
6. Use appropriate and compatible colors for fonts, backgrounds, graphics, and matting.
White backgrounds generally are best for text.
7. Posters may be attached to the boards by push pins or thumb tacks. This will be
supplied by the organizing committee.

POSTER PRESENTATION

1. Only FIVE (5) Minutes will be given for poster presentation.


2. The presentation needs to be clear and simple. No need for lengthy details of the research
unless told otherwise by the judges.
3. A warning will be ring once at the 4th minute and twice at the end of 10 minutes.
