 Problem/Question
What will happen if we use two different brands of
dishwashing soap?
I think that when all the ingredients
are added together that a chemical
reaction will occur and the brand of
soap will not change the outcome.
Materials
16 oz. soda bottle
1/2 cup hydrogen heroxide
1 tbs dry yeast
3 tbs warm water
liquid dish soap
food coloring
 Procedure
In the plastic soda bottle
mix hydrogen peroxide,
soap and food coloring.

In a separate bowl add

the yeast to warm water
and wait 30 seconds
before adding the soap/
hydrogen peroxide
mixture.
 Results

The outcome of the experiment

was the same with both soap
brands
 Conclusion
In this experiment I wanted to see if different brands of
soap would change the outcome of the chemical reaction.
My hypothesis was that it would not effect the reaction and
that it would be the same no matter what the brand of soap
used. My hypothesis was correct and it did not make a
difference.
