Research on Groundwater Quality Using the Geoelectric and

Abstract Text Administratively, the research area belongs to the area of South Tangerang

and its surroundings, Banten Province. Based on the Hydrogeology map of
Banten Province, this research area belongs to the medium productive or
partially productive part of the aquifer and the existing springs can still be
developed. This study aims to determine the quality of groundwater that can
be used for agriculture, drinking water needs, or cannot be used at all. This
research was carried out using Geophysical Principles with the 2-D
geoelectric method and continued with the well-logging method, and if
necessary using a physical and chemical approach followed by evaluation to
determine the potential of underground water around the location of
prospective water utilization points. Identification of shallow groundwater
below 50 meters and above 50 meters, related to the potential for the quantity
and quality of groundwater for exploitation of ground water and other water
sources. Then a description of the distribution type of detention is needed
both vertically and laterally in the area of investigation, then it is illustrated 3
cross sections of resistivity, AB with a type of resistance between 30 - 116

coarse sand - gravel, CD with a type of resistant layer between 23 - 98 Ohm-
meters, with a thickness of 10-20 meters, as a tuff and tuff sand. and GH with
layers of type 20 - 55 ohm-meters, thickness 15-25 m, thought to be tuffs and
passive tuffs and this layer as an aquifer,
