The objectives of this course are to:
1. To introduce students to the features of eloquent
Arabic expressions
2. To explain the characteristics of Arabic sentences
3. To explain the abstruse differences of the Arabic

This course introduces the characteristics of style and their


meanings. It considers the declarative and non-declarative
styles, the forms of sentential ascription, the forms of the
subject and the predicate, the verb-related elements,

confinement styles, conjunction and deconjunction, concision,
elaboration and precision. Texts analyzed include those from the
Qur’ān, Hadīth and literary texts.
