The document discusses 12 examples of projections of different 3D geometric solids, including hexagonal and pentagonal prisms and pyramids, tetrahedrons, cones, and spheres. The examples provide the dimensions and orientations of each solid as it rests on surfaces like the horizontal or vertical planes. For each example, the reader is asked to draw the projections of the solid based on the given information.

1. A hexagonal prism, base 40 mm side and 60 mm long rests on the H.P on
one of its edges of the base. Draw the projections of the prism when its axis makes 30 degrees with HRP and edge of the base which is on the HP makes 45 degrees with FRP. ( Dec 1985) 2. A hexagonal prism base 20 mm side and axis 50 mm long rests on the HP on one of its edges of the base. Draw the projections of the prism when its axis makes 40 degrees with HRP and edge of the base which is on the ground makes 30 degree with FRP. ( Dec 1984) 3. A tetrahedron 60 mm side, is resting on one of its edges such that the edge makes 45 degrees to FRP and the face containing that edge makes 60 degrees to HRP . Draw the projections ( Nov 1986). 4. a tetrahedron 50 mm long is kept on the HP on one of its slant edges with the face containing that edge making 45 degrees with HP the edge on the HP makes 45 degrees with FRP. Draw the projections of the pyramid if the apex is away from the observer ( May 1990). 5. A cone of base dia. 60 mm & height of axis 80 mm rests on the HP. On its curved surface such that the top view of the axis make s 60 degrees to FRP. Complete the projections if its apex is nearer to the observer than the base. ( may 1987) 6. A pentagonal pyramid , base 45 mm & axis 65 mm long rests on one of its base edges such that the axis makes 30 to HRP %& the edge on which it rests makes 45 degree to FRP. Draw the projections if the apex is away from the observer. ( May 1988). 7. A pentagonal pyramid 25 mm base & 60 mm height of axis is resting on one of its base edges such that axis makes 30 degree to HRP & the edge on which it rests makes 45 degree to FRP. Draw projections if the apex is away from the observer. (May 1993).

8. A hexagonal pyramid of side of base 30 mm & height of the axis 70 mm is
resting on one of its base edges on HP. It is fitted such that the apex is 60 mm above the ground and goes away from the observer. If the axis of pyramid remains parallel to the profile plane complete the projections. (DEC 1988). 9. A tetrahedron of 70 mm long has one edge parallel to HRP & inclined at 45 degrees to FRP while the face containing that edge is vertical. Draw its projections. ( May 1989, May 1998). 10. A pentagonal pyramid base 30mm is resting on the HP on one of its base corners such that the slant edge containing that corner is vertical and the Top view of axis makes 45degrees with FRP . Draw the projections if the apex is away from observer. (Dec 1989) 11. A 70 mm dia. spherical paper weight has a diameter 45mm flat base, it is resting on one of the points on the circumference of the flat base such that the flat base makes 30 degrees to HRP and is perpendicular to FRP. Draw projection of the paper weight. (Dec 1991). 12. Three spheres of 60,40,& 25mm dia. Rest on the ground such that each sphere touches the other two. Draw projections and show the points of contact, if line joining the centers of the two bigger spheres is parallel to FRP.(May 1992).
