Purpose of the test was to verify whether the material complies with the specified requirements.

Conditioning before lightning impulse test sequences


Upon request of the client, the insulation of the recloser was conditioned before each test condition
and each polarity change. The conditioning consisted of 1 impulse of each voltage mentioned in the
table below, having the same polarity as the series of impulses to follow.

Notes
No correction for standard atmospheric conditions has been applied.
The tests were performed without additional insulation guards on the bushings.
Only two test conditions were checked to proof the lightning impulse withstand capability of the
bushings.

Requirements
No breakdown of non-self-restoring insulation and not more than two flashovers in self-restoring
insulation.

The object passed the test.
