TeacherTalk101

Suarez: (Greet in different Languages) Hello everyone! Are you feeling good today? You might
be wondering why am I alone right now? Well, well, well, please help me welcome my
co-host Remar and Airish in their production number!

(Dance)

Suarez: Why can’t I dance like you guys? Gosh! It’s so frustrating.

Dayaday: You can’t always have everything!

Oculares: Correct! Oh, I heard we have the students from USEP as our audience today! Are you
guys excited?

Dayaday: Interesting audience, interesting guests for another interesting topic.

All 3: THIS IS TEACHERTALK101

Suarez: Today we will be talking about three big things in the field of teaching.

Oculares: (THREE TOPICS)

Suarez: Speaking of which! I remember something way back in my college days?

Dayaday: What? You’re love life?

Suarez: No, silly! I was too focused in my studies that I didn’t have time for those stuffs! Going
back, I remember that time when we discussed the GUIDING PRINCIPLES IN DETERMING
AND FORMULATING LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Dayaday: Like really? You still remember those kinds of things?

Suarez: I remembered it very clearly, because the discussion was too funny that time. I just find
teaching similar to hosting.

Oculares: How?

Suarez: The first objective-related principle of teaching is summarized in this quote, “Begin with
the end in mind”

Oculares: That’s from Covey’s book of “seven habits of effective people”

Suarez: Yeah it is.

Dayaday: Let me take it from here, and please do correct me if I’m wrong, Aly you’re saying that
talk shows are similar with teaching because we also have a clear end goal in our
program? Like we prepare everything, from the flow and how we expect our program to
end.

Suarez: Precisely! As a teacher you need to have a sense of direction, in order not to miss
anything behind.

Oculares: To discuss more about ORPT, we have with us today, USEP’s very own pride, Miss Orocio
and her student which is running for summa cum laude!

(Enter… Welcome)

Dayaday: Good day ma’am, welcome to our show.

Orocio: Thank you, it’s a privilege.

(Greetings to the audience)

Oculares: So miss, let us cut the chase. A while ago, we three are discussing about the first guiding
principle, can you tell us more about it, of course for our audience and for our viewers
around the globe.

Orocio: Yes, I overheard about your discussion and it is correct, a teacher must begin her lesson
with a clearly defined lesson objective. I guess that was already explained, so I’ll start on
the second one, which is to SHARE LESSON OBJECTIVE WITH STUDENTS. Why? Because
your students must own the lesson

Llano: And this encourages us students to make progress, or to aim as much as how of our
teachers does.

Dayaday: The advantages of sharing goals with students are numerous, but if we are to
enumerate them all, I’m afraid one air time is enough. So moving on, the third one is,

Orocio: The third one is the lesson must be in the two or three domains, that is the cognitive,
psychomotor and affective.

Suarez: Speaking of which, I have a challenge for the audience. Let’s have three representatives
out there! The winner will have a very nice prize.

(GAME)

Dayaday: Usepians are really, what do you call that again? GAHOTAR!

Oculares: The fourth one would be introduced by Miss Llano, go on miss

Llano: Okay, the fourth one …

(Discuss until the 7th)

Oculares: Thank you so much ma’am clarysse and rose for responding in our invitation.

(Exit Orocio and Llano)

Oculares: In connection with the objectives, we are now going in the taxonomy of cognitive
domain. Are you still in Teachers from USEP?

Dayaday: Our next guess is a big face on the entertainment industry today. Are you excited? Well,
I am. Let’s give it up for the actress and model “Late Bloom”

Suarez: Short trivia, she is the great, great, great, great granddaughter of Benjamin Bloom!
Thank you so much for being with us today Ma’am despite your schedules,

Concepcion: No worries.

Dayaday: Ma’am I’m just wondering, you’ve been very exposed in the field of education but why
didn’t you chose to become a teacher.

Concepcion: (rampa) I believe teaching is the noblest profession, I may be exposed to its tentacles
but I guess I cannot consider myself responsible enough to take hold of the heart. It is
such a big obligation to carry and I guess I am not ready yet.

Oculares: Thank you ma’am, of course she is not ready, she is still in her 10th grade everyone.
Going back, please tell us about this Bloom’s Taxonomy

(Discuss)

Suarez: We have an incoming call from Miss Anderson, she is the daughter of Lorin Anderson
and her husband is the great, great, great, great grandson of David Khratwohl .

(Call Abing)

Dayaday: That was quite a good introduction to the taxonomy of objectives, actually there are
more, we still have Harlow’s and Moore’s. For more information, you can visit our page
BSED-ENGLISH Mga Badlungon or browse Mr. Google

Oculares: Yes! Yes! Yes! Now let us welcome another guest from the department of education,
Miss Jona Marinduque.

Suarez: Welcome ma’am, so we will have a fast talk! Are you ready ma’am?

Marinduque: Ready!

Suarez: Joever, please do the honors.

Dayaday: Future Educators please pay extra attention because our fast talk would be How to
write lesson objectives
(Fast talk)

 Describes student performance or say anything about what the teacher should do?
 Describe textbook content or not?
 Ends or means?
 Product or process?
 How someone must or how someone can

Oculares: That was good, now ma’am let us talk about something that concerns the newly
imposed k12

Suarez: Mainly, the standards and competencies of K12 curriculum

(Discuss)

Oculares: That was surely a lot to take in, so before we proceed let us be entertained first by two
of the most watched celebrity nationwide, no other than (Ading and Abing)

(Perform)

Suarez: Hi girls, how are you? I’ve heard you just got your degree in Education, so how was it?

Talip: It was really overwhelming and that is why we are here to impart some of those we
learned.

(Discuss)

Dayaday: Actually we still have two guests to go, but since they can’t make it because they’re
working overseas, we will have a live chat with them

Oculares: First off, we have a teacher from (university in Australia), she will be discussing with us
some of the guiding principles in the selection and use of appropriate teaching
strategies

(Must make a script in here para ma timing ang Q and A, need help)

(next kay si Cindy fils, same gihapon)

Suarez: And that is all for today

Oculares: We hoped you’ve gained and learned something

Dayaday: Thank you USEP
