1. Reverse Water Coning System

 Water Coning Device
 Water Coning is the mechanism in which
the water-oil contact locally rises toward
the perforated interval in a pertially
penetrated oil well.
 Several methods have been employed to
solve the problem of water production in
oil wells. The experiance shows that,
innovative water-control technique such
as the combination of mechanical and
chemical methods can lead to the most
significant cost reductions and improved
oil production.
 The problem of water coning into an oil
well impacts the well productivity an
increases operating cost in turn
accelerates well abandoment

Case History: Sumatera, Indonesia

Water problem and high paraffin

content had lowered production to
10 BOPD.

After application: The oil production

increased significantly from Sihapas
formation Well (case-1)
2. Powerwave Well Stimulation
Powerwave system was developed for improved oil recovery by stimulating a well using powerwave oscillator
tool to create pulsating pressure wave that break up and remove any type of near wellbore damage.
Milestones
 Proven Cost-Effective Process for treating near-wellbore and perforation
damage, removing scale build-up and stimulating poduction and injection.
 Used succcesfully to treat over 6,500 wells in 26 states and 37 international
areas.
 Completed over 1,000 wells in the Permian basin.
 Effective results in both vertical and horizontal wells in cluding oil, gas,
geothermal, water and CO2 Injection, disposal and monitoring wells.
 Wells successfully treated from 90 ft to 27,000 ft deep and temperatures up to
750 deg.F.
 3,600 ft, 10” ID, Waterflood injection line packed with Barium Sulfide Scale
cleaned in one run.

Specific Application
 Patented Powerwave Oscillator is run on coiled tubing or on jointed pipe when a rig in on well
 Removal of scale deposits from tubing, casing and near wellbore area
 Alteration of injection profiles
 Correct placement of treating chemicals
 Fluid can be acid, water, seawater, diesel, solvent , nitrified fluids, etc
Case History: Colorado: Production Doubled from Desert Creek formation
Scale build up had caused production from this well to decline to 99 BOPD and 437 MCFD
Results: Damage was removed and production restored to the same levels as when the well was first
completed, 425 BOPD and 865 MCFD

Case History Indonesia, South Sumatera: Production Increased after Powerwave Treatment
Background: The scale was indentified by water analyis from the
well and scale build up around the perforations and tubing
resulted decreasing in the oil production.
Treatment: The CT Powerwave tool was run in August 2018 to
cleaning well up to the production interval of 5000 ft and to
remove the damage surrounding the perforation tunnels then
injecting the scale inhibitor for scale prevention.
Results: Damage was removed and production increased from
2000 bfpd/260 bopd/87% water cut to 3000 bfpd/720 bopd/76%
25 Augustus 2018
water cut.
3. Sand Aglomeration Chemical
.
Chemical Sand Consolidation Process
 Reduce sand and water production in cased hole
 Can be applied in new and existing wells
 Pump through tubing or with CT
 Alters the zeta potential of solid surfaces to the optimum range
(between -20 & +20 mV)
 Creates an uneven or random charge distribution surface of the
solid particles.
o Locations with high attraction (Van der Waals and
electrostatic)
o Locations with high electrostatic repulsion

Agglomerated
material with high
conductivity that
stays in the formation

Advantages of Sand Consolidation

 Remains ductile
 Re-conglomerates Reduces
 Water cut Minimizes/stops fines
Migration Enhances
 Conductivity
 Does not cause or contribute to
scaling
 Only Marginally Reduces
Permeability <1% then Re-
treatment will not cumulatively
reduce K
 Easy to apply which allows longer
zones to be treated

Solving Probems: AGGLOMERATION TEST RESULT

 EROSION, large quantity of sand
flowing can damage of pipes,
Murky: Sand/Fines disperse Clear: Sand Agglomeration
tubings and others
 Blockage of flowlines will be
plugging flowlines then
accumulating sand which affect in
lowers the production
