V. RATIONALE

In line with RM 305, s. 2019 on the Guidelines on the


Implementation of Regional Curriculum Matrix (RCM) for
CALABARZON, announces the conduct of the Workshop on the
Implementation of Regional Curriculum Matrix. This aims to fully
support the continuing professional development of its teaching
personnel based on the principle of lifelong learning and DepEd’s
commitment to the development of teacher’s potential aimed
towards their success in the profession.

Vl. OBJECTIVE

The seminar aims to orient the teachers on the implementing


guidelines of the Regional Curriculim Matrix (RCM).

Vll. SYNOPSIS
Past 10:00 AM, Ma’am Anabel Clemente facilitated the
registration of the participants.
The program proper started at 10:35 AM through a video
presentation followed by a solemn opening prayer led by Rosalyn
I. Caratihan and the singing of the National Anthem led by Sir
Roben Paloma.
Opening remarks was delivered by Elarin L.Parian. She
introduced the overview of the seminar and encourage teachers
to adopt, embrace as well as apply every learnings gained from
any seminar. She ended her opening remarks by wishing for the
training to be meaningful.
Next was the introduction of the speaker, Ma’am Sylvia L.
Marquez. She begins her topic by stating the target or goal of
RCM program which is to provide quality, accessible, relevant
and liberating Basic Education for all. She claimed that providing
quality education is giving learning opportunities for students to
practice authentic learning. We as teachers should provide
related lessons about life skills or life survival, something that
students can use and apply in their daily lives. She also
emphasize that education is a vital weapon to help students get
out from their current situation. Afterwards, she shared the
before and now parts of the DLL which is anchored to RCM. Then
she stated the principles and framework of RCM.
Before the program ends, Sylvia L. Marquez required the
participants per Department to write sample DLL using the
framework of RCM as their final output.
The event was hosted by Argecel Trestiza. Meeting
adjourned at 2:30PM.
