Fuselage Wing Tail

• The selection approach for the right configuration

here is based on the structural concept only.
• It is based on the size, weight, shape and methods
of fixation.

Main parts structure Configuration

• Fuselage structure configuration: Rectangular fuselage

The rectangular fuselage configuration allow for a larger
interior space with less material.

• Wing structure configuration: Mid-Wing

The mid-wing configuration gives the chance for the wing
to be attached to the fuselage without increasing its height and
allow the passenger cabin to be installed above the wing.

Tail structure configuration: Conventional tail

The conventional tail structure configuration has a strong
stable structure as only one connection is used to connect the
horizontal and the vertical tail with the fuselage.

Internal Structure
Internal structure overview.

• We must determine the location of points that have high

loads affecting it and use a strong structure with the
Fuselage Fuselage
corresponding material in order to withstand the load
without failure. Connection Connection
• The connection between the main parts of the aircraft
must be considered during the design of the internal Wing Tail
structure for each part for the ease of assembly later
during the fabrication process.

The Passenger Cabin

The Door:
The door opens by a hinge located at the
top-rear part of the fuselage. This way it
will be easy for loading and unloading the
passengers.
• The cabin contains 50 passengers (Tennis balls).
The Floor: • The passenger seats are distributed on three
rows.
The floor interlocks with the sides like the • The width of the cabin is 20 cm making the
jigsaw puzzle pieces. outer width of the fuselage = 22 cm (24cm with
covers).
