PARAS-PARADA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATION
CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS

PREAMBLE

We, the parents/guardians and teachers of Paras-Parada Elementary School, imploring the
aid of Divine Almighty God, in order to establish an Association that shall unite the entire
institution for the common good of the students, to inculcate in them the values of a
responsible and concerned citizen, protect and advance the rights and welfare of the
students, parents and teachers, promote a free human peaceful, honest and democratic
society, do hereby declares and promulgate the this constitution and bylaws.

ARTICLE I
NAME and PURPOSE

Section 1: Name

The name of the organization shall be the Paras-Parada Elementary School (PPES)
Parent-Teacher Association, hereinafter referred to as the PTA. The PTA is an
unincorporated, non-profit organization.

Section 2: Purpose

The primary purpose of the PTA is to:


 Maintain an understanding, working relationship among the teachers and the parents of
the students in the school and the others interested in the stated mission and
 core beliefs of PPES.
 Provide the PPES community with the fun and family-friendly activities and
celebrations throughout the year.
 Provide services and programs in support of the scholastic pursuits an extra-curricular
activities of the students, in accordance with established school policy.
 Raise funds, transact business and experience such functions as are necessary in the
execution of the stated objectives of the organization.

ARTICLE II
MEMBERSHIP

Section 1: Membership

Parents/guardians of all the students currently enrolled at PPES, as well as all the teachers
are members of the PTA.

Section 2: Non-Profit Character of the PTA


The PTA shall exclusively non-profit benefiting no individuals; no part of this activityy shall
relate to political or religious name. It supports the school in providing education that
promotes learning and cultural understanding.

ARTICLE III
CODE OF CONDUCT

The organization shall be non-commercial, non-sectarian and non-partisan. The organization


shall seek to bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers
may cooperate for the betterment of the education of the students.

No part of the net earnings of the organization shall inure to the benefit or be distributed to
the member, officers or other private person. This organization shall be available to aid
school and community in the event of the need for cooperative action and parental service.

ARTICLE IV
THE OFFICERS

The PTA Officers shall compose of 19 members. The principal of PPES shall serve as the
adviser of the Association. The elected PTA Officers are coming from the Homeroom PTA
Officers.
ARTICLE V
THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF MEMBERS

Section 1. Rights

Every member of the Association shall have the following rights and privileges:

 Participate fully and freely in all meetings of the respective homeroom PTA’s and other
activities of the Association.
 Be kept informed of the program and projects of the undertakings of the association.

Section 2: Privileges

All members shall the right to vote in the election of the officers of homeroom PTA’s and in
the ratification of the Constitution and By-Laws and amendments thereto and in an other
electoral proceedings requiring their direct participation.
ARTICLE VI
THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following shall be the duties and responsibilities of the members:

 Uphold and obey the provisions of the Constitution and By-Laws of the Association.
 Attend and actively participate in all activities, programs and undertakings of the
Association requiring their presence.
 Pay all dues and and assessment of fees promptly

ARTICLE VII
FINANCE
Section 1: Funds

Funds shall be derived from special fund raising efforts, donations, and/or gifts. The PTA
Officers has proposed monthly dues of P50.00 to fund its operations

Section 2: FINES

General cleaning is scheduled every 3rd Friday of the month. There will be a penalty of
P100.00 to those who failed to attend.

Section 3: Contributions

The PTA officers and its member agreed to contribute a Saranay of P10.00. Beneficiaries are
the parents, siblings and atleast one guardian of the student.

effort and thought from ourselves, as we do from others.

 Inclusivity - We invite the stranger and welcome the newcomer. We value and seek
input from as wide a spectrum of viewpoints and experiences as possible.

 Integrity - We act consistently with our beliefs. When we err, we acknowledge the
mistake and seek to make amends.
