PILE EXTRACTION

In this method, crawler crane is made the base machine and high torque Earth Auger is installed
on suspension type Leader and is fixed with the help of a Catch Fork. This method is mainly
used for large bore pile extraction.

[Merit]
Effective for extracting large number of large bore piles because of the installation of high
torque earth auger on the excavating machine.

[Demerit]
Unsuitable for compact sites due to it's large size

The upper part of the cut pile is held
by medium size crane and lower part

with reactive force. Chose the wire
depending on the weight of the pile.
Set the casing to check collapse.
Backfill the surrounding of of set
casing with excavated earth.
The pile is brought off the ground by
attaching crane wire to specialized
multiple pulley. After bringing the
pile off, the cavity is filled with water
and cement fluid mix.
The pile is cut into safe lengths by
using Oosumi dismantling machines.
To check dust problem during cutting,
water is sprayed through high
washers.

The cut pile is removed by medium extraction is filled with cement fluid
size crane and sand mix. Please check the
composition with the supervisor.

The dismantled piles are cleared with

the help of medium size cranes. Glass
and steel are disposed separately

Till now the common method for excavating piles with large bores (above φ800㎜
） was to cut the friction of the pile area by casing and then use a big size crane
(150t) or a pressure jack to lift the pile to the ground level and break it with a
breaker or a crusher.
But recently due to the small available area at sites it has become difficult to use
large cranes. CBS method (Crash Bucket Method) has been developed to carry out
pile extraction in compact sites where big cranes, breakers and crushers are
impossible to use.
 PILE EXTRACTION

1. Machinery and Equipments used are less as large crane is not used
2. Since no breakers and crushers are used, it is a low vibration and low noise
method.
3. Since the pore wall is protected by the casing tube even after the pile extraction,
there is no effect on the nearby grounds.
4. Since the piles are broken into lengths of 1.0 m～2.0m at the time of extraction
only, it is easy to load them into trucks at the same time.

 PILE EXTRACTION

In this method of pile extraction, 75T, 55T Telescopic Boom Crawler Cranes are
used as base machines and pressure augers are combined with rotary multiple
pulleys.

[Merit]
It's an effective method especially for compact sites as it requires only one Pile
extractor and multiple pulleys.

The preparation takes a lot of time and since it is only suitable for smaller site

This method is used for sites with low heights. With this method, it is possible
to do pile extraction of sites with height up to 5 meters by using a base
machine fixed with a pressure shovel.

PILE EXTRACTION

In this method leader is not required because Pressure Auger is attached at the
tip of the boom. The pile vicinity is bored through the undulation of the boom
and pile is extracted by medium crane.

[Merit]
Since leader is not required in this method, there is no need to obtain reactive
force which reduces the preparation time. Possible to attach casing for large
bores. (up to Φ2000)

[Demerit]
Depending on the size of the base machine, the length of the bore is limited.
High torque augers can't be attached as it puts pressure on the machine.
PILE EXTRACTION

In this method leader is attached to a crawler base machine and auger and
casing is set for it and then the pile vicinity is bored and pile is removed with
medium cranes. Since this method is suitable for all types of sites (large, small,
pile head is in deep, etc) it is very popular and used quite frequently.
PILE EXTRACTION

In this method three point pile pressing machine is used as base machine and
pile is broken by combining earth auger and CAM auger. The torque of the
auger is used for breaking the pile. It is mostly used in cases when a part of the
side is damaged. Since loch screw and casing could be used separately, it has
an advantage of changing the casing after breaking a part of the pile and using
it for backfilling.
