INTRODUCTION

A. Background of the study

Nowadays, people are being problematic with their faces and how they can able to get rid
of acne and various skin problems, the most common here is having persistent pimples. The
researchers aims to make an effective skin product that is made up of onion with less
expenses and affordable than the commercial one.

B. Statement of the problem

This experimentt is to determine if the Allium C is an effective alternative face serum. Before all, the
study must answer the questions that follows

1. Is the study capable of performing as a alternative face serum in curing skin problems?
2. Is the product affordable to consumers?

C. Null Hypothesis
 There is no significant difference between our study and the other commercial one.
 There is no significant difference between our study and some examples products of face
serum.
 There’s a possibility that our study can be used to cure acne prone skin.

D. Significance of the study

The researchers made this study to help people from their skin problems caused by various
things, such as stress, germs, and bacteria and so on. Having an acne prone skin can actually made
us anxious and lowering our self-confident. This Allium C can definitely the solution to finally say
goodbye to our annoying acne.

E. Scopes and Limitation

The scope and limitation of the study will focus on the range on how to remove the acne and
we’re going to test its effectiveness. Rather than that, it includes our materials and equipment to
be used and the procedure to be applied.
F. Definition of terms
Onion – is an important vegetable traditionally used as a food ingredient.
Serum – is a skincare product you can apply your skin after cleansing.
Antioxidant – a substance that remove potentially damaging oxidizing agents in a living
organism.
Acne – a skin condition that occur often to the face. It often causes whiteheads, blackheads,
or pimples.

H. Objectives of the study

 This study aims to determine wither the onion is an effective antioxidant to be used as a skin
problem’s remedy.
 This study can help people to get rid of their acne prone skin.
 In addition, we have to make sure of the products effectiveness and safety to ensure that it
won’t cause any harm or worsen a person’s skin condition.

E. Research Design
The researchers used the onion to test its effectiveness as a face serum.

METHODOLOGY
 Population Description
The researchers will be using onion extract to observe if the onion is an effective
alternative serum to be applied on the skin.
 Sample Size
The researchers will use enough onion extract, rice water, tomato extract,
baking soda and honey to fill a small container.
 Sample Method
If possible, the researchers need to do the experiment inside a clean and close
area.
 Scientific Design
The researchers may conduct a restricted random sampling in this study.
 Research Design
The researchers used the onion test its effectiveness as a face serum.
 Research Instrument
The researchers will go to look into the experimental process in this study.
 Gathering Data
We will prepare all the materials need to be present in doing the research
experiment including onion, tomato, baking soda, rice water and honey.
Boil the sliced onion a pot and a half cup of water to gets its extract.
Sliced at least 3 grams of tomatoes and add its extract to the onion extract, mix it
well.
Pour a 4 tablespoon of cooked rice water on the mixed tomato extract and onion
extract.
In another bowl, put 2 tablespoons of baking soda and pour at least 3ml of water
and make sure to mix it.
After you connected the baking soda, add it to the bowl of the onion extract,
tomato extract, and rice water.
Add at least 3 drops of honey that can help to remove its unwanted odor.
After that, put it in a small empty container then the product is ready.
Pour 2-3 drops of the finished product on your palm.
Applied it on your face using your finger and make sure to put the product in every part
of your face. Let your skin absorbed the serum. You can feel that your face brighten than
before and it is also comfortable. We can say that, it has a high possibility to be compared
to commercial one as of the effectiveness of Allium C.

Through the observant the day 1 it’s not effective to the face of a person and the day 2 comes our
experiment it’s pretty effective but the last day 3 our experiment probably more effective.

ABSTRACT
This study was conducted to produce an alternative organic face serum mad out of onion.
The study was done by extracting the onion in a way of boiling it into a pan with a small amount
of water. The proponent tested the onion as a face serum using its effectiveness to the animals
by applying it to their skin.
To do this study, we the researchers did create a face serum that is mainly made up of onion.
We conduct an experiment if our product is effective like the commercial one.
The result in table 1 showed the results of its effectiveness in Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3
through applying it on a certain parts of a person’s body.

SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

 Summary
 This study aims to produce skin product using onion. Onion will be main ingredient to be used
in producing effective face serum. Why do we need to produce a new skin product? Because
nowadays, people are really conscious about having a perfect skin so this study is really important
to produce another effective product. As we, the researcher will prove that onion can also be a
main ingredient in producing skin product.
 Conclusion
As we finished analyzing the result of an experiment, It was shown that have us a possibility
that Allium C can be also an effective face serum. As you can see in the table 1, it shows that our
product is improving as days passed and in conclusion. It can be improved day by day.
 Recommendation
We highly recommend as researchers that our study needs an improvement and a deep study
to finished it successfully. We the researchers did learned a lot and realized some lessons and
knowledge to be able for us to finish our study. In this study, it takes time to see the result after
applying it and to know if this is really effective.
