I. Introduction
Solid waste is defined as generation of undesirable substances which is left after they are
used once. Solid waste can also be defined as the useless and unwanted products in the solid state
derived from the activities of and discarded by society. Actually, waste can be considered as
nothing but useful material at wrong place. There is no material in this world, which is not useful
in one-way or the other. Also there is no material, which is created out of nothing. Waste
Management and disposal issues are not just a problem of a country but it is a global issue which
should be addressed immediately. A more serious risk is the transfer of pollution to ground water
and land as well as the pollution of air from improper burning of waste.

V. Description

Today the most important subject that affects and worries mankind is the issues
concerned with waste management. Waste management practices like the municipal solid waste
can differ for developed and developing school. his activity is very relevant especially for
students, the goal of solid waste management is reducing and eliminating adverse impacts of
waste materials on human health and environment to support economic development and
superior quality of life. It also provides prevention, preparing for reuse, recycling and proper
disposal.

In addition, waste segregation is important for properly disposing of the vast amount of
garbage which our modern society produces environmentally conscious manner. Segregating the
waste is also doing part in proper waste management. Avoidance of having trash is one way of
lessening the garbage problem in the country. Using materials that are environmental friendly
can also help in proper solid waste management. Students want a clean and environment, then
they have to constantly clean their area, put some tools and equipment like a garbage disposal to
help in keeping the area clean and free from harmful bacteria.

The most obvious environmental damage caused by solid waste that school areas is ugly
and smelly. A more serious risk is the transfer of pollution to ground water and land as well as
the pollution of air from improper burning of waste. Many waste activities generate greenhouse
gases; e.g., landfills generate methane and refuse fleets are significant sources of carbon dioxide
and nitrous oxide

VI. Methodology

 Buying a garbage bag.

 Renovating some garbage truck.
 Sending maintenance to keep the cleanliness.

VII. Statement of the Purposes

Most places you go to will have some form of waste segregation. Your office may have a
bin for paper and cardboard, the gym has a mixed recyclables bin, even your house should have
some form of waste segregation as all local councils do collection. But how important is it to put
the right waste in the right bins? This project will discuss why you should pay attention to waste
segregation. The first reason is it is legally required. Under the Waste Regulations 2011, you
must segregate paper, cardboard, plastic, metal and glass at source unless it is technically or
economically unfeasible. Under the same regulations, you should implement the waste
hierarchy; reduce, reuse, recycle, other recovery and disposal. By law, you should implement
this hierarchy and segregation helps with recycling in particular.

VIII. Timetable

September 2019 Planning the Project.

December 2019 Buying of equipment.
January 2019 Time it will end the project.

IX. Budgetary Expenses

Equipments Estimated Price (₱)

Renovating of Garbage Trucks 1,000,000
Labor and Delivery of Equipments 100,000
Garbage Cans/ Bags 20,000
Maintenance 5,000
Total= 1,360,000

X. Conclusion

Students will have good beneficial traits on the concept project. This project will surely
be an appeal to the students. We would have the students very refreshed and good looking that
will make their learning easy. With this project, it will surely make students enjoy their learning,
in a refreshed and secured way. Our beloved funder, you must fund our project because our
school needs a segregate can. The first reason is it is legally required. Under the Waste
Regulations 2011, you must segregate paper, cardboard, plastic, metal and glass at source unless
it is technically or economically unfeasible. Under the same regulations, you should implement
the waste hierarchy; reduce, reuse, recycle, other recovery and disposal. By law, you should
implement this hierarchy and segregation helps with recycling in particular.

There are a number of important reasons that we encourage waste segregation; legal
obligations, cost savings and protection of human health and the environment. This can include
labelling, making sure you have enough accessible bins and making it clear why segregation is
so important. So next time you’re presented with a choice to put your plastic bottle in a general
waste bin or a plastic bin, reach over to the plastic one and pop it in there
