Definition

Diclofenac (DCF) or 2-(2,6-dichlorophenylamino)-phenyl acetic acid is an

analgesic and anti-inflamatory drug throughout the world (Kaur Brar, 2016). It is used

as oral tablets or as a topical gel.This is sold under the commercial names such as

Acoflam, Algosenac, Almiral, Ana-Flex,Diclabeta, Diclac, Dicloabac, Diclodoc,

Diclofenac–Ratiopharm and etc. (Sillanpää & Vieno,2014). It is the most frequent

identified drug in the aquatic ecosysyem, especially drinking water and that is used to

treat rheumatoid arthritis (Cherik, Benali & Louhab, 2015). This usually employed as

sodium salt or potassium salt in pharpaceutical industry. It can also be used to lessen

the menstrual pain which is commonly known as dysmenorrhea and after oral

administration, diclofenac is eliminated in a short period time (2h) (Zhang et al.,

2008). This can even treat animals, according to Patuxent Wildlife Research Center

this drug used by veterinarians for the treatment of inflammation, fever and pain in
