PLATO GOOD LIFE

According to Plato, there are four virtues that if acquired, will lead
to a good life. Wisdom: This is your ability to determine what the
higher good is, and take appropriate action, in any given situation. A
person who is wise is comfortable in their own skin and can find wisdom
in nature as well as in other people.

SOCRATES GOOD LIFE

Socrates was one of the major philosophers that came up with the
definition of the good life. Apart from Socrates, other influential
philosophers of old times as well created their own arguments on the issue
of the good life. In their arguments regarding the good life and how to
achieve it, some of the philosophers tend to have similar sentiments on
the aspect while others differ in their sentiments. Socrates' definition of the
good life means that there is more to life than just living your life day to
day in the same pattern. Socrates believes that in order to truly live a good
life, you need to think about your existence and ask questions about the
things around you.

ARISTOTLE GOOD LIFE

For Aristotle, the final end of human life is to flourish, to live well, to
have a good life. Aristotle also believed that good for humans is the
maximum realization of what was unique to humans. It followed the good
for humans was to reason well. The task of reason was to teach humans
how to act virtuously, and the exercise faculties in accordance with virtue.
The good life, then, was defined by Aristotle as the activity of the soul in
accordance with virtue.
1. WHAT IS THE GOOD LIFE IN PHILOSOPHY?

In philosophy, the good life is the kind of life that an individual may dream of living. In
the ancient times, the aspect of the good life was simple because it only entailed having enough
food on the table, having a tribal affiliation, having a family, and shelter. It was basically the
freedom one would acquire from the hardships in life.

2. WHAT IS THE GOOD LIFE POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY?

Positive psychologists are interested in the good life. What this refers to is the search
to understand ways in which to improve human happiness and what makes life worth
living. The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination. Most
importantly it is about having the freedom to move in any direction but moving in the direction
that is most authentic to us. The direction is that which is selected by the total organism, when
there is psychological freedom to move in any direction"

CONCLUSION
Good life is all about the life of an individual living a good life, it describe the ideal life
for one to live. According to the philosophy in ancient, the aspect of the good life was simple
because it only entailed having enough food on the table, having a tribal affiliation, having a
family, and shelter. Having a good life is happy life, but we know that happiness doesn’t just
happen to people, but there are things that we can actively do that will increase our happiness,
such as learning to be more appreciative. If we have a good life we will have a better life not
just a better or having a happy feeling but rather having a fulfilled life.
