Many people who speak Spanish always says: “learning English as a second language is very difficult, even
any kind of language different to ours is very difficult”;
But, seriously speaking, it is not difficult to learn a different language to ours. The key or if to learn are
practice and time.
So, as the world changes, we have to change with it and one of the most important changes is the language,
not the structure, but of course the words.

1. Talking about me: If it’s a new program, each one has five (5) minutes to talk about himself, name,
age, kind of music he or she prefers, hobbies, personal or public life. In this part, we will do it in
Spanish, but, then we are going to translate the whole speech into English.
2. Talking about my vacations: In case it’s an old program, each one has 10 minutes to talk about
him or her vacations, what he or she did in all this free time? What are your expectations for this
year about the program and about the foreign language program? We will do it in Spanish, but, then
we are going to translate the whole speech into English.
3. Teacher’s presentation: No matter what if the program is new or old, because this time the teacher
will do it in English, without saying a word in Spanish, I am going to talk about my holydays, this
year’s resolutions in the program and what I want to share with all of them.
4. Translation socialization: in this opportunity we will share with our class mates our translation into
English, The teacher will choose any apprentice.
Results:
- Realizar intercambios sociales y prácticos muy breves, con un vocabulario suficiente, para hacer una
exposición o mantener una conversación sencilla sobre temas técnicos.
1. Our program vocabulary: In order to benefit ourselves, we will create a dictionary based on the
program that we are studying, this dictionary all of you are the managers to build, to construct, to
create it and we will use it in the technological program.
2. Our general vocabulary: This dictionary is different from the previous one, because this one will
include words and concepts of daily use.
3. Writing skills: With the help of the instructor and the basic concepts of grammar, we will
structure short writing tasks, in which we clearly set our opinion regarding to topics of common
interest and obviously topics based on the specific program.

3.1 Reading comprehension 1: Reading short texts in English, we are going to write a brief
summary clarifying our point of view with respect to the subject previously read. The instructor
will give the guidelines as it should be done.
4. Reading skills: Guided by the instructor, learners read short texts in different proficiency levels;
these texts will be of general interest and also focused directly on their professional program.
4.1 Reading comprehension 2: Reading short texts in English, we are going to write a brief
summary clarifying our point of view with respect to the subject previously read (but this time
in English). The instructor will give the guidelines as it should be done.
4.2 Reading comprehension 3: In level 3 of the reading comprehension, we will read texts in
English, we will make the comprehension of the text and we will socialize our opinion, all this
in English. We will have the freedom to do it the way they like, the main purpose is to make
clear our point of view using as much as we know about English.
5. Karaoke time: Having a varied and extensive list of artists and their songs, each apprentice will
choose one to practice his reading comprehension and pronunciation at the same time. But the
apprentice has to look for the letter of the song to practice it previously, in order to effectively hold
the activity during class.
Results:

1. Grammar one: We will study English basic grammar, to-be verb, comparatives and superlatives,
etc. Applying them to our oral and written construction at the time of studying.
2. Grammar two: We will study the necessary parts to structure a sentence with sintax and coherence
to express our ideas and feelings.

3. Grammar three: We are going to instruct ourselves on how to correctly structure a paragraph, in
which we find in an adequate way the cohesion of our ideas and points of view, in such way, that
we structure an adequate and coherent writing.
Results:
- Comprender las ideas principales de textos complejos en inglés que tratan de temas tanto del campo
de especialización concretos como abstractos, incluso si son de carácter técnico, siempre que estén
dentro del campo de la especialización.
- Comprender una amplia variedad de frases y vocabulario en inglés sobre temas de interés personal
y temas técnicos.
- Reproducir en inglés frases o enunciados simples que permitan expresar de forma lenta ideas o
conceptos.
1. Exhibition about the program: This presentation should be directly related to the professional
program in which we are, it must be done following the previously studied and internalized.
This presentation will be free, each apprentice will choose any subject and will make his/her
presentation also taking into account the previously internalized.
