 Ganesh Chaturthi

Ganesh Chaturthi also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chavithi is

a Hindu festival celebrating the arrival of Ganesha to earth from 'Kailash Parvat'
with his mother goddess Parvati/Gauri. His birth celebration is called 'Maghi
ganesh chaturthi' or simply 'ganesh jayanthi' which falls in month of January of
the Gregorian calendar. The festival popularly know as 'Ganesh Chaturthi' falls
in the months of August or September of the Gregorian calendar. The festival is
marked with the installation of Ganesha clay idols privately in homes, or publicly
on elaborate pandals (temporary stages). Observations include chanting of Vedic
hymns and Hindu texts such as, prayers and brata (fasting). Offerings
and prasadam from the daily prayers, that are distributed from the pandal to the
community, include sweets such as modaka as it is believed to be a favorite of
Lord Ganesh. The festival ends on the tenth day after start, when the idol is carried
in a public procession with music and group chanting, then immersed in a nearby
body of water such as a river or sea Thereafter the clay idol dissolves and Ganesha
is believed to return to Mount Kailash to Parvati and Shiva. The festival
celebrates Lord Ganesha as the God of New Beginnings and the Remover of
Obstacles as well as the god of wisdom and intelligence.
Definition of ancillary?

An ancillary provides support to the major operations of an institution,

organization, or industry. They are the one who manufactures parts and
components to be used by larger industry. They are the small industry having
investment in fixed assets, Plant and machinery not exceeding Rs75 lakh and
engaged in (a) manufacturing of parts, components sub-assemblies tooling or
intercedes (b) the rendering of service, supplying rendering or proposing to
supply or render 30% production of the total service. All the service oriented
enterprise are now eligible for registration of a SSIs are a title for the same
concession and incentive that are offered for SSIs.

Eg- Companies like GE (ancillary) produce engines for the aircraft industry. The
programmer of ancillarisation includes motivation of public and private sector
units to offload production of components, parts, sub-assemblies, tools,
intermediates, services etc.

A during the time of ganesh chaturthi idol of ganesh are sell but with them many
other industry also get the benefit of ganesh chaturthi because at the time of
ganesh chaturthi many oher industry like sweet mart, flower shop, DJ, Electric
shop, Mandap and decoration, jewelry shop, Fruit shop, Idol Shop also get the
benefit.
Sweet Mart: At time of ganesh chathurthi sell of sweets are high people use to
buy sweets more and more they prefer to buy modak and Ladu as Modak is used
as Prashad. Owners used to make more production of Modak during this 10 days.
They use different flavours and some makes there own variety as unique product.
Sale of sweets are high 20% to 30% then the regular days.

Flower shop: Flowers are mostly used in decoration so sell of flowers are high.
Owner stock variety of flowers during this days. Roses and Marigold are used to
sell more. Sale of flowers are double at this time. As the visarjan days are near
sales of flower are much high.

DJ: DJ are now in trend from some years people used DJ for Arti, Bhajan, Garba,
Events and Activity and mostly at visarjan time people used to take it on rent. At
time of festival like Ganesh Charthuthi people use DJ most.

Electric Shop: Use of lighting are more for decorating Mandaps, idols and at
events. So owner make stock of variety of lightings. Variety of different colours,
design, Size, price etc.

Mandap and Decoration: Mandap and decoration is mostly used for Ganpati
Asan and decoration. Decoration include variety of props as per different themes
Mandap is also prepared on bases of theme and its made up of cloth it can be
small or large.

Jewelry shop: Jewelry people used to buy for Ganpati Mughat and for different
accessories mostly of Gold rather than silver. Jewelry are least purchased at this
time. High class people used to buy Jewelry at this time.

Fruit shop: Fruit are highly used product at this time people used as Prasad.
People do fast at this time so they eat fruits so selling of fruits are high.
Idol Shop: Idol main part of Ganesh Charthuthi. Idol of Ganesha were sell it
include diffent size and design. Now Eco friendly Ganpati are more preferred to
save environment. Sale of Idol is most at this time.
