How can we connect the dots of differences to become united?
Cutting a certain bond that has made unforgettable memories, had stay tough through good times and bad times and that are the best partners in crime is very hard and unacceptable thing. On my first year of being a senior high school student I belong to a class that has most, but not all, the characteristics and talents a certain class could have. We made a lot of memories, laughters and we always unite as one. Something you won't forget. It was the month of May, the day for enrollment has come. We are excited because we are about to make memories together again but it was false. A teacher suddenly told us that our class will be divided. It made us blue. We have nothing to do with it instead accept it. It was the first week of June, classes starts, I have met new faces and new surrounding. Everything was new. As time goes by, I gradually recognize my new classmates' different attitudes, traits or character. Red goes to the students who are natural leaders. They lead the class and guide them in every situation. They have the ability to set people to listen to them when they speak. They do not want the class to be in trouble and mess. Green fits the students that are naturally smart, competitive, and won’t let anyone beat them. They typically overcome learning through hardwork. They are eager to learn, asks questions and do anything to reach their goals. Yellow goes to the students whose job is to keep the remainder of the class entertained. These students love attention and getting laughs as their primary goal. They are also referred to as the sunshine to the entire class, despite of the busy schedule, struggles and simulataneous activities, assignments and projects they stand stand as the stess reliever because of their jokes and making the entire class cackle. Grey refers to the students who are often to be clueless or absent-minded person or “airheads”. They cannot catch up a certain situation easily and it needs a deep explanation before they get it. They also decide without thinking a thousand times which results to a complicated outcome. Brown refers to the students who are labeled as lazy. They seem to lack the courage to succeed academically or they are just there because they have to be. In some cases, they do not have the necessary parental support at home to be successful. Sometimes these students need extra assistance or testing to rule out learning differences. Blue fits the students who love classroom discussions and are the first to raise their hands when the teacher asks a question. They may not be naturally smart but they do their best in participating. Black are the students that are often shy or might be introverts. They only have few friends and those friends are also typically quiet. They are often mysterious, they do not want the others to know their story. Most of them loves to read books instead of socializing. White complements those students who are not that smart but respects their teacher and believed that a good attitude is greater than being an intelligent with pride. They usually abide by the rules and rarely cause disruptions in the classroom. Everyone has its own shadows. Having different characters will be a challenge but that’s what complete a class to be called a class. And I am trying to embrace each of the characteristics my classmates have. The dots of differences could be united if everyone will contribute to everybody’s welfare. If everyone will think of ‘unity' rather than competing. Despite of coming from different worlds I can see that we can make a strong bond in the end. As united as the stars that shines at night as one.
