CHRISTIAN FOUNDATION

Focus on a foundation that will bring us or helps us to be strong and firm in our
spiritual walk and spiritually battle. so that in the second coming of Jesus we will be
spotless, unblemished and holy.

Meaning- a usually stone or concrete structure that supports a building from

underneath.

@Engineering perspective. The very first thing to do when you will build a house,
construct a building, or put up any structure .you need to lay out first a foundation, a
strong foundation. First they dig Until they will reach the rocky part.
otherwise……………….. So that the house it will last. Try to notice the every post is
designed to be put on the corners of the House.

@Spiritual Point of view.

1 corin 6:19. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the holy spirit
2 Corin 5;1 : our body is the house in which our spirit lives here on earth.
Since our body is the house of the holy spirit we need to have a firm foundation..
so that this body hindi po ibang spirito ang titira.. instead of the fruit of the holy spirit po
ang mang nifest baka sin of the flesh..why because no foundation.
Same explanation or pattern po how to build a house literally.
--First we allow to be dig. We need to allow cultivation in this house every corner
of this body hukayin kung anu man ung dapat alisin..until you will find the stoney
part…which is found in ephesians 2:20 and pslams 118:22..
JESUS is the chief cornerstone

Let us now build up firm foundation through chief cornerstone which Jesus. You
will not survive .ngaun nandito bukas wala ka na.

1. In Hebrews 12:2 Fixing your eyes on Jesus. The pioneer and perfecter of
faith. Look unto Jesus not to humans.
Focus on Jesus and not on the things on earth
. 1. Humans/ weaknesses nila.
2. wealth- pamasahe, damit, church
3. abilities/ skills /talents/ hindi ka nakapag aral
4. God discipline- trials, persecution.etc
2 Corin 5 :19 We are not looking at things that can be seen, but at things that
cannot be seen. The things which can be seen last only a little while. But the things
which cannot be seen last for ever
Colossians 3:2 set your minds on the things above and not on things on earth
In connection: symptoms of weak foundation
a. easily hurt- Mathew 16:21-23 Jesus predicts his death
b. matampuhin-lukewam
c. back fighting- Mark 4:38 don’t you care if we drown.
d. disobedience – Mathew 10:24 a teachers is not above his master
 e. lack of submission.. Abraham is about to kill his sons.
d. selfish -self centered, self seeking, self interested.
e. jealousy
f. others.

2. establish stable connection to Jesus --- be prayerful

3. undergo the process of cultivation –Memorize Verse(the word is lamp unto my
feet), Meditate The Scriptures(my people perish bec of Lack of Knowledge), Hear The
Word Of God- (faith comes from hearing)
4. have fellowship to faithful and committed followers of Christ . (do not forget
meeting together encourage one another) ( Bad company corrupts character)
5. engage, apply, work in Gods vineyard.( be used in Gods kingdom. Go and
make disciples) harvest is plenty but the workers are view.

What will happen if the foundation is weak

1. crack- earthquake
2. unstable- storms
3. collapse- that’s why maraming active na nawala agad sa Dios.

Jeremiah 29:13 “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your
heart.
James 3:2 We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in
what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.

Mathew 24:35 ..Everything on earth will pass away put Gods word will not pass
away.
