Visa information & travel insurance

1.) There are 5 types of Visa here,


1. Tourist visa
2. Diplomatic Visa
3. Transit Visa
4. Visa On Arrival
5. Social Culture

2.) Your VISA must be Social Culture since you are going for organizational purpose and we do not let
you to take Visa On Arrival, why ? cause we have an agreement with our Imigration to use social
culture visa and using another Visa is not allowed ( this is for the whole aiesec in Indonesia not only
aiesec in our LC )
There are two types of Socio Culture Visa; 30 days and 60 days.

3.) If you want to stay more than your VISA available time, you need to EXTEND IT. If you need an
extension please contact your __ ( before your arrival )

4.) Things to be prepared for extend: Passport and Visa. Visa extension fee is about Rp. 355.000 +
administration fee 25.000 so it will be 380.000 or $30. And you are going to make a photo in
Immigration after we proceed the administration, we are going to help you as well. One day late in
extending VISA, means you have to pay $20.
The code of Social Culture Visa is : 211

5.) AIESEC in ___ wont cover any medical expenses or loss


Logistic preparation needed

1. Documment to bring :
- Passport with Social Culture Visa
- Flight Ticket
- Travel Insurance
- Debit or Credit Card with Visa or MasterCard logo (it makes you easier to take cash money from ATM)
- Student Card

2. Project Needs
- Laptop
- Proper and formal clothes. As you know that Indonesia is eastern country, so please wear proper clothes in your daily here,
for example : t-shirt and jeans. Please no tanktop and hotpants. When you are at school, please wear formal clothes, for
example : shirt + trousers + shoes.
- Souvenirs. For polite things, you can bring souvenirs or any special country foods for your host family and also for our LC.
- Books about your country. And you can bring books about your country or culture

3. Personal Needs
- Personal medicine & sanitary
- For women, bring tampon because in Indonesia its still rare things so better if you prepare and bring it from your country
- And the last one, please dont forget to print out the Indemnity Form
- International adaptor

4. Living
- summer: comfortable clothes (cotton, etc)
- winter: umbrella, warm clothes, etc
- food (if you have allergy, food limitation, vegatarian, etc)
Culture shock preparation

Indonesians are:
- 90% moslem. We pray 5 times a day
- has night time limit (9.00pm)
- uphold the manners. You need to be polite
- rarely speak English. You need to simplify your sentence or learning basic Bahasa
- our nation believes (Pancasila). Ex: Ketuhanan Yang Maha Esa
- like to socialize. We like to go out in groups
- only woman who does 'cipika cipiki'

3. Indemnity Form
indemnity form is a statement letter which stated that AIESEC in ____ will not be
responsible in anything that you do during your day off work and after the project ends.
Ex: you go for travelling after your internship, you did something bad and you got
imprisoned, AIESEC in _____ won't be liable for your carelessness.

The Indemnity form should be sent to your OCP's (or anyone who's in change) email
before your arrival.
