Application Processing Fee: Rs 1000 (Transfer through NEFT in Account No. 8569101000352, Payable at
Canara Bank, NIT Campus, Durgapur, IFS Code: CNRB0008569).
No accommodation shall be provided during the admission test.
The admission committee of the respective department is fully responsible for selection and their decision is
final in the admission process. Queries, if any, should be directed to respective departments.
Application in prescribed format must reach the undersigned on or before July 08, 2019. Download the blank
application form and fill it up with necessary documents. The envelope containing the application should be
superscribed “Application for full-time M. TECH. (SPONSORED) Programme (2019-2021) in the Department of
___________________________________”. Applications without the same shall not be accepted.
1. ELIGIBILITY
M. TECH. PROGRAMMES:
In qualifying degree the candidates should have passed and secured atleast 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale)
or 60% for OC/OB, whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% in case of SC/ST/PwD candidates. The
above mentioned CGPA/Percentage should be awarded by a recognized University/Institute.
Conversion from CGPA to percentage or vice versa given by individual Institute will not be considered/
allowed. Candidates will have to mention CGPA/Percentage as awarded by their University/Institute.

3. APPLICATION CHECKLIST
The following documents should be attached along with the filled-in application form. An application without
the copies of the required documents is liable to be rejected.
(i) Signed photo copy of marks sheet / Grade card of the secondary, higher secondary board and other
university examinations
(ii) Signed photo copy of the certificate / provisional certificate of the qualifying examination
(iii) Signed photo copy of proof of date of birth
(iv) Signed photo copy of community certificate (SC/ST) from a competent authority as per the format given in
the website, if applicable
(v) Sponsorship certificate from the present employer as per the format given.
(vi) Proof of the application fee of Rs. 1000/-
(vii) Form 16 of the Last Financial Year from the present employer.
Sponsored candidates must have a minimum of two years full-time work experience in a Govt./Semi-Govt. or
reputed and recognized organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought. A certificate (in the
given format) from the Employer must be furnished. The employer should also indicate that the candidate will not be
withdrawn midway till the completion of the programme.
The admission committees of the respective departments are fully responsible for selection and reserve the right to
cancel incomplete applications (including relevant documents). Queries, if any, should be directed to respective
departments. No correspondence/interim inquiries will be entertained from the candidates in connection with the
process of selection/interview including reasons for not being called for interview. Canvassing in any manner would
also entail disqualification of the candidature.
5. HOSTEL
The Institute is essentially a residential one and every student shall be required to reside in and be a boarder of Hall
of Residence to which he/she is assigned. However, no family accommodation will be provided inside the campus.
6. FEES
The fee structure is available in the Institute website
All announcements related to M Tech admission will be made through the Institute website
http://www.nitdgp.ac.in/admission.php. No communication will be made to any individual separately. No
admit card will be issued. The candidate must bring the original certificates along with them during the
admission test.

Sponsorship Certificate for M. Tech Programme
(A sponsored candidate must furnish this certificate along with the application,
printed on the letterhead of the organization)
(f) Date of being relieved of duties to join the programme in the Institute_ ______________
Certified further that his/her services with the Organization will be retained during the period he/ she
carries out the studies at NIT Durgapur and on completion there of he /she will be accepted for
joining back. It has been noted that for the sponsored students, the NIT Durgapur does not have any
financial commitment. It also certified that he/she will not be withdrawn from the course midway till
the completion of the programme.
N.B.: Please strike out the items not applicable. All the columns must be filled in; otherwise
the Sponsorship Certificate will not be acceptable.
