At the end of the lesson the students are expected to:


A. Determine the definition and function of literary language (Figurative and Literal);
B. Infer literary meaning from the literal language based on how it is used; and;
C. Craft a significant piece that would represent the value of literary language.

TRACE THE COLOR (5 minutes)
- Identify the possible literary piece that can be highlighted based from the given pictures.
- Ask: Why do writers need to use literary colors in their master pieces?

C. MOTIVATION (5 minutes)

- Each group will be given set of pictures to analyze the association and relationship of each picture to
another.
- Posted pictures will be given answers within 3 minutes
- Each group will be given time to rationalize their answer.
- ASK: How did you come up with that answer? Justify!
- Each group may opt to give suggestion towards the answer of the other groups.
- They may evaluate each group’s presentation using the emoji.

- Create a simple poster of a symbolic image that would show its role in the society. (ART GROUP)
- Compose a short line of a song using symbolic figure and give its meaning. (MUSIC GROUP)
- Write a short slogan using symbolic feature and explain. (POET GROUP)
- Have them think of a line in the movie and have them explain the meaning. (ACTORS GROUP)
