    ITEC 240 – WEB PAGE DESIGN

    TUTORIAL 1

    Create a single webpage with the content shown in the document. The layout and look of the
    page should be like that of the document. Below are some guidelines to assist you.

    1. Name the file: lastname-carnival (e.g.: wilson-carnival.html)


    2. The DOCTYPE MUST BE INCLUDED TO DECLARE THE FILE A html5 file.
    3. Include the lang attribute in your <html> element
    4. Declare the character coding of your document
    5. Title the webpage: Trinidad & Tobago Carnival
    6. Introductory heading (Carnival Time): largest heading size
    7. Insert a thematic break below this heading
    8. Make the sub-heading (Parade of Bands): second largest heading size
    9. Select a background colour of your choice (of course, not white)
    10. The text (Trinidad and Tobago): bold
    11. The text (Monday and Tuesday): italics
    12. The text (Ash Wednesday), bold; italics;
    13. Highlight the text (The parade of the bands)
    14. Insert a comment in the code to indicate the sub-heading.
    15. Save and e-mail to wilson.marva@gmail.com
