# 11 – Toxemia Explained

 by Michael A. D‟Ascenzo

What is the nature of dis-ease? Are we all doomed to a life of Russian roulette in regard
to our health? Can all the best preventative measures be for naught if we “catch” the
wrong virus or disease? Do we have no control over what our genetics have predestined
for us? Have we no choice? Is there no natural and simple way to keep our bodies
functioning well? Could our existence as physical beings really be so cruelly cursed?

The answer is no. Living a healthy life is not only possible, its means are easily
understood and available to all. Like the rest of the material world, it comes down to
cause and effect. Yet, the world seems to have a real problem with the cause in this
situation. How about poison? Substances that are deleterious to the normal and healthy
functioning of the human body. Makes sense, and most would agree it is a major factor.

I say it is the only factor. The human body is a magnificent and miraculous creation that
is capable of withstanding and repairing great amounts of stress and damage. It only asks
for a little love and understanding. We ask too much of it.

How about “You are what you eat.”? Every culture on the
planet has a saying with this meaning. Simple, yet profound. Yet this would mean we are
directly responsible for our own health. We humans seem to have a problem with this
notion. I call it denial. I cite addiction and complacency. I point to those who stand to
benefit from the continued poisoning of the populace and the rampant misinformation
and oppression of oppositional ideas carried out by such persons.

Of course there are other environmental factors that can and do affect health but the one
variable we have absolute control over and influences our biology more than any other is
our diet. Food.

Every other living creature on this planet thrives on a natural diet of „raw‟
(unheated/cooked, unadulterated, unprocessed) foods. Humans are the only ones
tampering with their food. Humans are also the sickest creatures on the planet. By any
standards, we are an endangered species. What do you think would happen if we fed a
tribe of wild gorillas or a pack of wild wolves coffee and donuts for a few generations?
How about McDonalds? Or TV dinners? The fact is, human diseases are human diseases,
animals don‟t get them (unless they are under our care and/or ill treatment). We are
killing ourselves.
Think about it. Say you were stranded on an island or in the
desert with no tools or technology available to you. Time passes and you develop a
genuine hunger, what do you do? What is your natural inclination? Chase down a wild
animal, catch it with your bare hands and tear into it with your teeth, eating it alive (as
carnivores do)? Try to steal milk or eggs from another? Catch and eat a raw fish? Or pick
fruits, nuts and berries from the trees and bushes?

Someone once said: “Give a baby a banana and a live rabbit. I can bet you my car that
every single time the baby will eat the banana and play with the rabbit.” Whose instincts
do you trust, a baby or an “adult?”

Which mind should you rely on? The simple, fearless and open one we are born with or
the complex, indoctrinated and closed, that is the possession of so many in our society
today. The choice is yours, eat wisely. Health is wealth.
