Jeff Ekery, O.D. is a resident of SCF and a native of El Paso,


Texas where he practiced Optometry for 43 years. Jeff
speaks Spanish fluently and as a result of his work in the
community has a deep well founded knowledge of both the
culture and language. El Paso is truly a bicultural city where
one will hear Spanish spoken nearly as often as English. He
was also an adjunct professor at the University Of Houston
College Of Optometry in addition to having served on a
number of nonprofit boards.

Italy as a member of the US Air Force. She and her husband
travel extensively and share their travel stories through their

Barbara Waggoner is a Sun City Festival resident and a


Del Webb scholar. She is a retired law enforcement ad-
ministrator with 29 years of experience in personal safety
and awareness and used her training to teach new recruits
and citizens, mostly seniors, in Clackamas County. She has
been involved with computers since the early 80’s and stays
updated on the latest technology mostly related to Apple
products.
