ABOUT THE BUTCHER SHOP ABOUT SLOW THEATRE
Twenty-six years ago in 1989, the Butcher Shop was conceived by a group of Chico High
School friends as an alternative, experimental theatre in a local backyard. From these efforts,
the Blue Room Theatre was born. Seven years ago, many of the original players—some living
in Los Angeles, New York, and Portland and some staying close to home—united with fresh
