Instructions 1. Enable beeping in Exceed

Step No Action Detail

1 Log on to a SCADA workstation. Go to Step 2A


if you have logged onto an Operator workstation,
or Step 2B if you have logged onto an
Engineering workstation

2A Open Reports and Applications folder on the


desktop, then open SOE folder in the file
explorer.

5 Click Yes in the dialog box to install the registry


keys

6 Click OK in the dialog box

7 Click Yes in the dialog box to install the registry


keys

8 Click OK in the dialog box

9 Installation is now complete. Start Exceed to


verify that beeping sound is enabled in the X
Windows sessions

1 Repeat steps 1 to 4 in Instructions 1. Enable


beeping in Exceed

2 Make sure the registry key is currently set to 1


(Enabled), then click yes

3 Click OK in the dialog box

disabled
