2 CONCRETE WORK
2.1 Providing and laying in position cement
concrete of specified grade excluding the cost

2.2 Providing and laying cement concrete in retaining

3 REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE


3.1 Providing and laying in position ready mixed
concrete manufactured in fully automatic
batching plant and transported to site of work
in transit mixer for all leads, having continuous
agitated mixer, manufactured as per mix
design of specified grade for reinforced
cement concrete work, including pumping of
R.M.C. from transit mixer to site of laying,
excluding the cost of centering, shuttering,
finishing and reinforcement,
including cost of admixtures in
recommended proportions as per IS : 9103
to accelerate / retard setting of concrete, improve
workability without impairing strength
and durability as per direction of the Engineer
- in -
charge.

M-40 grade Reinforced cement concrete


by using not less than360 kg of cement per cum of
concrete. NOTE
(1) Cement content considered in this item is @
360 kg/cum. Excess/ less cement used as per
design mix is payable/ recoverable separately.
(2) Fly ash conforming to grade I of IS 3812
(Part-1) only be used as part replacement of
OPC as per IS : 456.

Uniform blending with cement to be ensured


in accordance with clauses 5.2 and 5.2.1 of
IS:456 -2000 in the items of BMC and
RMC.3.)The above item shall be used
judiciously where specified quality of flyash is
available for mixing in concrete .Also,the
guidelines issued by CDO , CPWD

3.1.1 All RCC works upto plinth level 125 cum 6900.30

4 BRICK WORK
4.1 Masonry work with flyash cement concrete
bricks of class designation 100 ( crushing
strength not less than 100kh/sqm)in foundation
& plinth in all shapes & sizes in cement mortar
specified . ( The flyash cement concrete
brick shall have nearly 25% 6mm nominal size
coarse aggregate by volume & the water
absorption shall not exceed 10% by weight of
flyash cement concrete brick)

5 STONE WORK
5.1 Random rubble masonry with hard stone in
foundation and plinth including levelling up

7 FLO O R I N G
7.1 Providing and fixing Ist quality ceramic
glazed wall tiles conforming to IS: 15622
(thickness to be not less than 6mm), of approved
make, in all colours, shades except
burgundy, bottle green, black of any size as
approved by Engineer-in-Charge, in skirting,
risers of steps and dados, over 12 mm thick
bed of cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse
sand) and jointing with grey cement slurry @
3.3kg per sqm, including pointing in white
cement mixed with pigment of

7.2 Providing and laying Ceramic glazed floor tiles of


size 300x300x7mm of 1st quality conforming to
IS : 15622 of approved make in colours such
as White, Ivory, Grey, Fume Red Brown, laid on
20 mm thick cement mortar 1:4 (1 Cement :
4 Coarse sand), including pointing the
joints with white cement and matching
pigment etc., complete.( For U.G.sump bottom 80 sqm 688.35
lining)

8 FINISHING
8.1 15 mm cement plaster 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse
sand) finished with a floating coat of neat
cement on the rough side of single or half brick 1125 sqm 256.55
wall.

8.2 6 mm cement plaster of mix :


8.2.1 1:3 (1 cement : 3 fine sand) 96 sqm 143.80
8.3 Finishing walls with Acrylic Smooth exterior
paint of required shade :

9 DISMANTLING & DEMOLISHING
9.1 Disposal of building rubbish / malba
/ similar unserviceable, dismantled or waste
materials by mechanical means,
including loading, transporting, unloading
to approved municipal dumping ground outside
the IITM campus or as approved by Engineer-
in-charge, beyond 50 m initial lead, for all 500 cum 120.55
leads including all lifts involved.

10 R OAD WO R K
10.1 Preparation and consolidation of sub grade with
power road roller of 8 to
12 tonne capacity after excavating earth to an
average of 22.5 cm depth, dressing to camber and
consolidating with road roller including
making good the undulations etc. and re-
rolling the sub grade and disposal of surplus 9000 sqm 90.10
earth with lead upto 50 metres.
10.2 Providing and laying Dense Graded
Bituminous Macadam using crushed stone
aggregates of specified grading, premixed with
bituminous binder and filler, transporting the hot
mix to work site by tippers, laying with
paver finisher equiped with electronic
sensor to the required grade, level and
alignment and rolling with smooth
wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per
specifications to achieve the desired compaction
and density, complete as per specificatons and
directions of Engineer-in-Charge.

10.2.1 50 to 100 mm average compacted thickness


with bitumen of grade VG- 30 @5% (percentage
by weight of total mix) and lime filler @ 2%
(percentage by weight of Aggregate) prepared
in Batch Type Hot Mix Plant of 100-120 TPH 555 cum 7247.70
capacity.

10.3 Providing and laying Bituminous concrete


using crushed stone aggregates of
specified grading, premixed with bituminous
binder and filler, transporting the hot mix to work
site by tippers, laying with paver finisher
equiped with electronic sensor to the
required grade, level and alignment and
rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory
and tandem rollers to achieve the desired
compaction and density as per specification,
complete and as per directions of Engineer-in-
Charge.
10.3.1 40/50 mm compacted thickness with bitumen of
grade VG-30 @5.5% (percentage by weight
of total mix) and lime filler @ 3%
(percentage by weight of Aggregate) and
waste plastic additive @8% (percentage by
weight of bitumen) prepared in Batch Type Hot 260 cum 8345.45
Mix Plant of 100- 120 TPH capacity.

10.4 Providing and applying tack coat using


bitumen emulsion conforming to IS: 8887,
usng emulsion presure distributer including
preparing the suface ad cleanng with
mechanical broom with medium setting bitumen
emulsion

10.4.1 On W.M.M. @ 0.4 Kg / sqm 7500 Sqm 69.88

10.5 Providing and applying 2.5 mm thick road
marking strips (retro- reflective) of
specified shade/ colour using hot thermoplastic
material by fully/ semi automatic thermoplastic
paint applicator machine fitted with profile
shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater
and profile shoe heater, driven by
experienced operator on road surface including
cost of material, labour ,T&P, cleaning
the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and
foreign material etc. complete as per 150 sqm 391.25
direction of Engineer-in-charge and
accordance with applicable specifications.
10.6 Providing and laying at or near ground
level factory made kerb stone of M-25
grade cement concrete in position to the required
line, level and curvature, jointed with cement
mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand),
including making joints with or without
grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp
curve shall not to more than 5mm), including
making drainage opening wherever required
complete etc. as per direction of Engineer-
in-charge (length of finished kerb edging shall
be measured for payment). (Precast C.C. kerb 45 cum 5012.65
stone shall be approved by Engineer-in-
charge).

10.7 Providing and laying C.C. pavement of mix


M-25 with ready mixed concrete from
batching plant. The ready mixed concrete
shall be laid and finished with screed
board vibrator , vacuum dewatering
process and finally finished by floating,
brooming with wire brush etc. complete as
per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-
charge. (The panel shuttering work shall be
paid for separately). (Note:- Cement content
considered in this item is @ 330 kg/cum. 120 cum 6912.15
Excess/less cement used as per design mix
is payable/ recoverable separately).
10.8 Scarifying the existing bituminous road
surface to a depth of 50 mm and disposal of
scarified material within all lifts and lead
upto 1km (by mechanical means). 300 sqm 3.60

10.9 Construction of granular sub-base by providing


close graded Material conforming to
specifications, mixing in a mechanical mix
plant at OMC, carriage of mixed material by
tippers to work site, for all leads & lifts,
spreading in uniform layers of specified
thickness with motor grader on prepared surface
and compacting with vibratory power
roller to achieve the desired density, complete
as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-
Charge.

10.9.1 With material conforming to Grade-I (size


range 75 mm to 0.075 mm) 750 cum 2089.70

10.9.2 With material conforming to Grade-II (size range

10.10 Providing, laying, spreading and compacting
graded stone aggregate (size range 53 mm to
0.075 mm ) to wet mix macadam
(WMM) specification including premixing the
material with water at OMC in
mechanical mix plant, carriage of mixed
material by tipper to site, for all leads & lifts,
laying in uniform layers with mechanical paver
finisher in sub- base / base course on well
prepared surface and compacting with
vibratory roller of 8 to 10 tonne capacity to
1640 cum. 2132.25

10.11 Providing and laying factory made coloured


chamfered edge Cement Concrete paver
blocks of required strength, thickness &
size/shape, made by table vibratory method

fine sand, compacting and
proper embedding/laying of inter locking
paver blocks into the sand bedding layer
through vibratory compaction by using plate
vibrator, filling the joints with river sand and
cutting of paver blocks as per required size and
pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sand in sq

11 WATER SUPPLY
11.1 Providing and fixing Chlorinated Polyvinyl

step CPVC solvent cement
,trenching ,refilling & testing of joints complete as
per direction of Engineer in Charge.
