DIGITAL COMMUNICATION MANAGER Goethe-Institut Jakarta Full-time position
Goethe-Institut e.V. is the world-wide cultural institute of the Federal Republic of
Germany. We promote the study of the German language abroad and actively foster international cultural cooperation. Further, our mission is to convey a comprehensive Goethe-Institut Jakarta Pusat Kebudayaan Jerman image of Germany through information about its cultural, social and political life. Jakarta Jl. Sam Ratulangi 9-15 Goethe-Institut Jakarta is looking for a dedicated colleague as “Public Relations Jakarta 10350, Indonesia Tel. +62 21 23550208/9 and Digital Communication Manager” to begin November 1, 2019 or later.
Your tasks include primarily:
• Management of public relations activities and digital information work in the
areas of media (press, television, radio, online media), web portal, social media, newsletters, print products and merchandise • Management of press relations, specifically: o Preparation of press releases o Organization of press events o Maintenance and expansion of long-term media contacts and partnerships • Advising and supporting departments of Goethe-Institut Indonesien concerning effective public communication of events and projects • Development and implementation of communication concepts for selected focus areas and coordination of cross-departmental public relations meetings • Documentation of media resonance • Design and editing of publications, multimedia information and promotional materials • Comprehensive quality management of public relations work (corporate design, compliance with quality standards) • Budget management
You have the following prerequisites:
• Relevant experience in public relation work for a cultural institution or as a
journalist (min. 3 years) • High interest in culture and in international cultural exchange • Routine in the conception, drafting and copy editing of press releases and of text contributions for analog and digital media • Very good command of Bahasa Indonesia and English; knowledge of German is an asset • Good knowledge of the media landscape in Indonesia • Strength in social competence and teamwork, very good communication skills We offer:
