2.0 FUNCTION
Tempra-VP is part of Lectrotek’s ¼ DIN-size
Tempra-series control room instruments.
The instrument provides an Auto-Manual
operating interface between controllers/ PLCs/
DCS systems and electric final operating
elements such as Motorised Control Valves,
Electrically-actuated Dampers etc. It accepts
dc inputs from control signal, and provides a
forward-reverse relay output to drive the
operating circuit of the reversible-motor of the
electric actuator. A potentiometric/slide-wire
resistance feedback from the electric actuator
provides the feedback input to the Tempra-VP
for the balancing circuit.
3.0 OPERATION TEMPRA-AM provides an
Up-Down relay outputs in accordance with a
control DC signal (0/4-20 mAdc etc.) which is
compared with the present valve position
signaled by the resistance signal feedback.
LEDs are provided to indicate the relays Up or
Down operation; both are OFF in relays de-
energised condition.
