    This is what I did:

    1 - Download the ptt 1.12 image


    2 - Load the image on a virtual cd drive or burn it if you
    prefer that.
    3 - Run setup.exe at the cd root. Use a 6 digit number as
    client id (Example: 654321)
    4 - Let it finish (obviously) and restart
    5 - Check if the sql server icon is present at the tray. If
    not, install sql server 2005 managenemt studio (thanks to
    gtchorik for this step)
    5 - Run the chuck norris patch (run the .bat, if it is
    compressed with rar or zip you need to uncompress all the
    files)
    6 - Run ptt with m333422 and offline mode, other way it
    won't work
    7 - Success !

    Machine config: Win7Ult, no need to use xp compat. It didn't have vcads installed
    before, so I guess you have to run the cleanup utility to ensure a clean install.
    Now I'll try it on a winxp virtual machine to see if it works the same way.
