Tajuk Jurnal: Pupils portraying disruptive behaviour
I had carried out two lessons for English subject Year 2, which were on Monday and Friday. I
found out that the pupils were losing control and portrayed disruptive behaviour because both
my lessons were during the last two periods. They made chaos, liked to walk around, stood
up without being called, talkative and daydreaming.
The main factor addressed to this issue is probably due to lack of teacher’s experience in
classroom management. Usually, the lesson before recess and before school ends was the
most difficult time to handle the pupils. This was because they were eager to go back and
started to lose concentration in the class. Thus, they started to make chaos in the classroom
and made the teacher to have difficult time to handle them. Also, I felt that the other reason
was that they were still very young to understand the importance of maintaining the classroom
discipline. They were some sort having a free soul and did not know the impact of their
disruptive behaviour to teacher’s lesson.
3. Kajian Lampau (Literature Review) Terhadap Isu (Pengalaman atau Kajian Lepas)
Firstly, I feel that I should try my best to remember their names and call their name correctly
so that they would feel appreciated. Next, tell them the punishment they will have if they kept
on distracting the lesson. Be extra firm when dealt with them. Lastly, having the pupils to follow
the classroom rules that had been told to them strictly and establish reward chart to minimize
disruptive behaviour.
5. Tempoh Masa Penyelesaian
1 week
6. Tindakan Susulan
Whenever I identified the disruptive behaviors in the classroom, I would try my best to deal
with them at the first time because I will never allow distractions during teaching and learning
process.

After applying some of the methods, I feel that the disruptive behavioral problem in the
classroom was minimized. Pupils seemed to give more commitment while carrying the
teaching and learning activities.
I feel that it is important for every teacher to recognize and rectify the disruptive behaviors
portrayed by the pupils throughout the lesson.
