Integration presentation:

In this method a user interface is used to access both structured and unstructured data
simultaneously and this leads to wide spread integration of all. This approach starts with a
simple side by side presentation of results and it extends up to coupled systems with
exhaustive research and presentations without combining two repositories.

Analysis of content collection:

Structured description of content data with meta data acts as a basis for the analysis of large
collection of unstructured data. Identifiers of the content item are treated as facts that are
subjected to analysis, whereas metadata are used for the classification purposes and acts as
analysis dimension.
After extraction metadata can be treated as a structured data and can be stored in a data
repository. Now this can be used for in-depth analysis and for generation of business insights.

Distribution of analysis and report:
The result analysis obtained can be used both directly and indirectly. Direct analysis includes
result of general interest i.e. root cause for the problem and various relations associated with
it. If the obtained results are too specific for the immediate use, then the frame work used for
the analysis will also divulge a lot of information for example: what selected data sets are
used? Which analysis tool has been applied? Which visualization process has been used? In
what sequence the analysis has been done? All the information obtained comes under the
purview of indirect analysis.

Three Layered Business Intelligence Framework:

Data Layer:
This layer stores structured and unstructured data. Structured data is present in special repositories
like data ware houses, data marts and operational data stores. Unstructured data is handled by content
and document management system.

Logic layer:

Focuses on the compilation, distribution, processing and distribution of data. There are two types of
systems at the data layer they are: system for data analysis and components for knowledge
distribution. System for data analysis collects data from data layer processes it and presents it in an
understandable form to the user.

Access layer:

This layer combines all relevant components and functions from the logic layer together to present
them to the user in an integrated and personalized fashion. A user can execute queries that are simple
to complex and gain insights from the data loaded in the frame work
This framework maps relevant logical BI components and visualizes their core interrelations.
