“A RESOLUTION GRANTING EXEMPTION FROM PARKING VIOLATIONS FOR CARGO

TRUCKS FOR PARKING ALONG STO. DOMINGO AVENUE, BETWEEN CALAMBA AND
MACOPA STREETS, BETWEEN 5PM – 11PM OR DURING TRUCK BAN HOURS ONLY.”

WHEREAS, since it was widened, Sto. Domingo Avenue is one of the major arteries utilized by cargo
trucks for the delivery of goods and other vital services to other parts of the country;

WHEREAS, Barangay Sto. Domingo has numerous business establishments utilizing the said artery for
the same purpose;

WHEREAS, some of the truck drivers have made it a point to utilize certain streets of Barangay Santo
Domingo as a stop-over point while waiting for the lifting of the truck ban hours, giving them immediate
access to said main artery;

WHEREAS, affected truck drivers are being accosted by MMDA Traffic Constables and DPOS
operatives, for their current practice, despite seeking permission from the barangay;

WHEREAS, certain sections of Sto. Domingo Avenue, specifically between Calamba and Macopa Streets,
are still undergoing final stages of debris cleaning, making them ideal stopover slots for said vehicles while
waiting for the truck ban to be lifted;

WHEREAS, owners of said cargo trucks are willing to communicate and cooperate with the Barangay in
exchange for allowing their cargo trucks to utilize said slot prior to their trip;

Now Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that cargo trucks will be

allowed to use the portion of Santo Domingo Avenue, between Calamba and Macopa streets, Barangay
Santo Domingo, as temporary stopover slots while waiting for the truck ban hours to be lifted without fear
of apprehension from the MMDA Traffic Constables and DPOS operatives, provided they follow the
guidelines enforced by said personnel and that they are willing to identify themselves and provide proper
documentation.

RESOLVED finally, that copies of this resolution be furnished the city authorities concern for their
information and guidance.
