Being healthy is important. Nowadays, people don’t think about their health,
They just eat and eat what they like and they doesn’t even care of what will be the
result of it. Today the chance of health risk is increasing because of those people that
eating unhealthy foods like processed foods and fast food such as hotdogs, canned
foods, French fries etc. these kind of habit result of increase of mortality rate.

There are people that still think about their health and come up with idea to
increase their lifespan and it result with what they called “diet”. Diet is not just about
weighing loss or gaining weight according to Barb Leonard of university of Minnesota in
taking charge of your health and wellbeing it can also refer to the food and drink a
person consumes daily and the mental and physical circumstances connected to
eating. Nutrition involves more than simply eating a “good” diet—it is about
nourishment on every level. It involves relationships with family, friends, nature (the
environment), our bodies, our community, and the world. Diets can also be used to
maintain a stable body weight and improve health. Some people dieting to loss or gain
their weight, others want to have a good and healthy lives. Lifespan is The length of time
for which a person or animal lives or a thing functions.

The connection of diet and lifespan is diet can make the lifespan of a human increase by
eating nutritious food. according to william C. Shel nutrition The process of taking in food and
using it for growth, metabolism, and repair. Nutritional stages are ingestion, digestion,
absorption, transport, assimilation, and excretion. A nourishing substance, such as nutritional

our lifespan longer.

this research can help not just those people whos health concious but also this is for
those students or people who want to have a knowledge about diet and lifespan. on how they
are connected to each other and what benifits we can get by dieting. they will have an idea
about what really the purpose of dieting.

Eating healthfully also means avoiding foods with high amounts of added salt and sugar. A healthful diet
includes a variety of fruits and vegetables of many colors, whole grains and starches, good fats, and lean

weight can help to reduce the risk of chronic conditions. If a person is overweight or obese, they have a
higher risk of developing several conditions, including heart disease, non-insulin dependent diabetes
mellitus, poor bone density, some cancers. second Reduced cancer risk, An unhealthful diet can
lead to obesity, which may increase a person's risk of developing cancer. Weighing within a
healthful range may reduce this risk. third, Diabetes management, Eating a healthful diet can help
a person with diabetes to, lose weight, if required manage blood glucose levels, keep blood
pressure and cholesterol within target ranges, prevent or delay complications of diabetes It is
essential for people with diabetes to limit their intake of foods with added sugar and salt. It is
also best to avoid fried foods high in saturated and trans fats. fourth, Heart health and stroke
prevention There is some evidence that vitamin E may prevent blood clots, which can lead to heart
attacks. The following foods contain high levels of vitamin E: almonds, peanuts, hazelnuts, sunflower
