From the Editor-in-Chief

Welcome!
to our first issue of UjJWAL BHAVSAR. This souvenir edition has seen this daylight with
contribution from lot of committed BVI visionaries. We are honored to share the work of so many
committed and thoughtful people. We are here to share their stories and their journeys with you. And
who knows, maybe be next year you’ll share your story with us.

The BVI Foundation Trust takes pride and remains relevant to society by its diversity of charitable
activities. It has been our objective to create innovative and inspirational schemes and themes. All
it takes is a spark. An intent. A vision. A goal. With good intent we started various schemes.
The Foundation’s flagship program ‘SPONSOR A CHILD’ (SaC ) needs no introduction. The result
of witnessing so many happy smiles amongst students is very rewarding. A meticulously structured
program under ‘SPECIAL DAY SPECIAL DEED’ (SDSD) Scheme has been a great contributor to our
fund raising, as great many donated on their family members birthday / anniversary & other
occasions. Many sympathetic Bhavsars came forward with their contributions helping the Foundation
to take forward its programs.

I shouldn’t fail to mention the philanthropic deed of our managing trustee Shri. Anil Dhavale
for magnanimously providing amenities like desks, lab equipment, mobile toilets etc. to Shimoga and
Hubli Government Schools.

“Be the change you want to see in the world.” - Mahatma Gandhi
Again, my special thanks to Mr. Kishen Rao Gadale and Mr. Srinivas Devale for carrying out the
Foundation’s vision of upgrading the living standards of the Bhavsars inhabiting the Pamdi village.
It is pertinent to mention the various innovative programs conducted to raise funds by the three
musketeers of Solapur- Mr. Girish Waychal, Mr. Ashwin Doijode and Mr. Shivaji Uphare. The
Shimoga Club under the Governorship of Shri. Gajender Malode also contributed immensely
in collecting donations. A special mention also for the active participation in the Foundation’s
activities by Hubli & other clubs.

August 15th 2016 was a special day to us. Various clubs participated in distributing over 300 reading
glasses and 100 walking sticks to the Old Age Home senior citizens across the country. This 15th August
2017 the foundation honored 31 soliders. You will read more in UjJWAL Bhavsar.

I wish to extend my heartfelt thanks to our Founder, Shri. Narayan Rao Tatuskar for creating such a
wonderful platform to carry out such wonderful services to the needy and the deprived society.

All these achievements in a span of less than two years and more to happen...... We hope it will give
satisfaction and prove a valuable work of reference now, and more so in the years to come. My love
affair with BVI Foundation continues and the first copy of the UjJWAL Bhavsar is in your hands. Long
live UjJWAL Bhavsar!

An Appeal For Cooperation

TOGETHER WE CAN CHANGE

AND EMPOWER BHAVSARS!

I would like you to join & share my vision of creating a sustainable,

clean, transparent & widely recognizable trust. We need to
realise that we don’t work in the non-profit sector, we work
in the “FOR-CHANGE” sector. Our job is two- fold. Firstly,
fundraising . Secondly, utilise the funds for charity.

Fundraising is the gentle art of teaching the joy of giving. There

are two ‘i’s’ in Fundraising – they should stand for inspiration
and innovation, not imitation and irritation. Humanity
consists of faith & charity. Ask yourself : what life would be
without charity and how this charity work has not only changed
your life but the life of so many beneficiaries?

Your Trust needs a strong financial base to take up viable and recognisable charity programs
including adopting schools & small villages, mobile class rooms, health programs, providing public
/ community toilets etc.

During the last couple of years we have energised the ‘Sponsor a Child’ (Sac) Program and we have
already received over 130 Sponsorships. We are targeting annual Sponsorships to 500 Students by
September 2018 so that your Trust can adopt at least 500 needy children. I would like to appeal to
all of you to enroll Sponsorships on a war-footing to achieve our Target.

I need your support and cooperation to excel in our endeavour. Together, we can & we will succeed.
We shall be enlightened to find more and more Bhavsars are smiling. Together we can make a
difference!

TOGETHER, WE CAN MAKE OUR DREAMS COME TRUE!!

Thanking you in anticipation of your full support and cooperation.

The Joy Of Giving

The more you give yourself, the more you find of yourself.

We all know how great it feels to receive gifts. However, the joy of
getting is short-lived. Our lives are richer when we share, and that great
inner joy comes from helping others to better their lives. Truly giving
from the heart fills your life with joy and nourishes your soul. As
Mahatma Gandhi said, “To find yourself, lose yourself in the service
of others.” Giving takes you out of yourself and allows you to expand
beyond earthly limitations. True joy lies in the act of giving without an
expectation of receiving something in return.

It is confirm that achieving meaning, fulfillment, and happiness in life

comes from making others happy, and not from being self-centred.
Mother Teresa is a famous example. She found fulfillment in giving of
herself to others. She helped change the expression on dying people’s
faces from distress and fear to calmness and serenity. She made their
undeniable pain a little easier to bear.
Narayanrao B. Tatuskar
(Founder Bhavsar Vision India)

Why give? The power of giving

When people are asked why they give, the Giving is one of the best investments you can
readiest answers include: God wants me to; make towards achieving genuine happiness.
I feel better about myself; others need, and True giving comes from the heart, with no
I have; I want to share; it’s only right. The expectation of reciprocation. You’ll find that
question I would ask is how did you feel? I the more you give, the more you’ll receive. The
imagine you felt very pleased with yourself power of giving is manifested in the kindness
and happy inside. It has been my experience and generosity that you bestow on someone
that when you’re focused on giving to others else. When you give to another unselfishly,
you’re less likely to become consumed b y t h e vibrational energy emitting from your

compared to other people’s situations.

15
It’s the joy and love that we extend to others that brings true happiness or union with God. When we
give, we reap the joy of seeing a bright smile, laughter, tears of joy and gratitude for life. We know
that if people give just a little more—of their time, skills, knowledge, wisdom, compassion, wealth
and love—the world would be a more peaceful and healthier place.

The rewards of giving are priceless. If you want to have happiness, you need to give happiness.
If you want love, you need to give love. It is only in giving that you receive. No matter what your
circumstances in life, you have the ability to give. I encourage you to look for opportunities where
you can give and help others. The gift of joy will come to you when you give of yourself to others.
That’s what life is all about. Let’s practice and commit our lives to giving joy. We are practicing
this in our “ BVI” and it works!

“We make a living by what we get,

but we make a life by what we give”
- Winston Churchill

Charity Begins At Home

“Origin of the phrase: The first recorded phrase is in 1642, in a book

called “Religion Medici” by Thomas Browne

“Charity begins at home” is an expression we have all heard. Unfortunately,

it often happens that though charity begins at home, it tends to end
there. The proverb warns us against this. The home is the origin; the
whole world is the limit. But an exception must be made. Charity begins
at home, of course, but surely not with oneself. One must be charitable
to the whole world.

“As one person I cannot change the world, but I can

change the world of one person.” - Paul Shane Spear

Charity is not easy to practice. Man is by nature egotistic. They may

throw a coin to the needy while looking down on him. A man that is
cold and unmoved to pity can make only formal charity, probably for
self- publicity. Many make mistake in adorning positions and status
to exhibit to the society without participation and contribution to the
needs of charity. A bogus lot ! It is hypocrisy to preach what we do not
practice.
K. V. Rao
(Chairman - BVI)

Charity = Generosity. A noble need not the cause. Charity promotes development and welfare
of the society. It expresses compassion towards poor, distressed and the needy. Hence, social
work practice involves a dual mission: to assist the needy and to change society.

“It’s not how much we give but how much love we put
into giving.” - Mother Teresa

Charity, a noble quality in man, brings welfare in the society. It enlarges human hearts and spreads
the message of brotherhood and innocent love among the people. Charity is something more than
mere kindness. It is not a beggar’s dole that we offer and then pass on and forget. It means
tolerance. Compassion, a patient sympathy for the failings and errors of others, is large-hearted
Compassion to the weakness. It is the spontaneous overflow of our sense of humanism. It tells: It is
one of the noblest of virtues.

17
I would like to illustrate a small story on “Charity Begins At Home”

There was a lady who had a little son. The lady was a social worker and always left the son
alone to be looked after the servants and went to do social work The little boy grew up in
the absence of maternal love and care and development some complexes. The mother got
alarmed at the delinquency and the freak and referred him to a psychologist, who, after
psychoanalysis, told the mother that the abnormal behaviour of her son had developed due to
lack of maternal love and care. The mother said “I am a social worker and get no time to give
my son” The psychologist said “Madam! I appreciate your love for social work, but you must
know the “charity begins at home.”

We need to form an united group and in unison and work

towards upliftment of the needy Bhavsars and other fellow
citizens. Help the needy and the deprived young students,
care the neglected and disadvantaged elderly, give a sight of
hope to the blind and so on. All towards welfare and
betterment of the society not only changing the life of the
needy but also changing for better the environment we live
in. We need to pledge and inculcate the spirit of Responsible
Citizenship amongst us! Please remember: the world judges
us by our deeds not by our words.

“If you haven’t any charity in your heart,

You have the worst kind of heart trouble.”
- Bob Hope

Philanthropy In Action
....outcome of action is essential

in the community through individuals, families, corporations and youth.

Simply giving is not enough. Bad philanthropy is when act of giving is
viewed as the end result – rather than the social change that happens as a
result of that act.

In India the philanthropy work is still in a nascent stage , now industrialists

like Narayan Murthy and Wipro Chairman Azim Prem Ji getting involved
in large philanthropic work. American Philanthropy statistics reveals in
2014 point to record giving by individuals and corporations. Americans
gave more than $358.8 billion to charities in 2014, an increase of 7.1% over
the previous year. Corporations gave $17.7 billion to charities in 2014, an
increase of 13.7% from 2013. Individuals gave $258 billion to nonprofit

It means that Charity or Gifts must be made gladly and willingly. Never give an unwilling charity/gift.
Let charity/gifts be made according to one’s fortune with modesty and humility. Let there also be an
agreement in opinion(friendly feeling) when charity/gifts are offered.

Thus our Indian Culture has clearly defined the charity/giving away gifts for social cause etc. in a
comprehensive manner long back before others took it up. The above quote also defines the method and
manner of giving charity/gifts.

That is why when a few years back Mr. Bill Gates and others came to India to impress upon Indian
Corporate sector, for earmarking a percentage of their wealth for Social cause, they were told how Charity
for social cause is an integral part of Indian Culture. It is a well known proverb in Indian life that “ Jo
Mazaa Dhene me hai vo Mazaa Lene me Nahi Hai “

Be it Individuals, Institutions or Corporate, contributing for the social cause as charity gives unparallel
and deep rooted happiness and more so when one sees his charity has resulted in the making of life of
others. This can be termed as Ultimate Bliss.

In order to channelize the charitable activities of Corporate Sector our Government has brought out CSR
known as Corporate Social Responsibility. Multinational Companies of Indian Origin like Tatas and Birlas
have their own professional set up to plan and execute their Social Charitable activities. Other
Corporates/Companies/Medium/Small enterprises want to contribute to the Social Cause Charities
with the aim of getting their contributions properly and professionally channelized for maximum
result. That is where BHAVSAR VISION INDIA FOUNDATION TRUST steps in.

BHAVSAR VISION INDIA TRUST is promoted by successful professionals from across the cross section
of Corporates/Business/Trade/Entrepreneurs/Doctors/Engineers/Bureacracy/Others.

27
Many a times Individuals and Entrepreneurs are very eager to contribute to the Charitable Cause and they
do not know how to do it and whom to approach. To quote an example , recently I came across a news
item. In Coimbatore, it was observed that the wastage of Food from the Restaurants and Hotels were
huge and at the same there were many beggars going without food in the night. A group of volunteers
came together and formulated a scheme where they introduced collection centers at various points and
the nearby hotels and restaurants will deposit the surplus food there. Then their volunteers will ensure
distribution of these food to the needy before midnight. To improve upon this they also introduced the
concept of Any Time Food Center (Free for Needy) at R.S.Puram Coimbatore .

33
Psychology Of Donor
...donate for social cause not for self ego

As the Secretary and Central Coordinator of the various schemes of the

Foundation my job has been to win the hearts and minds of Donors
keeping in mind the various beneficial programsI being carried out by
the Foundation to help the needy people. During my tenure with the Foundation,
which is from the Foundation inception, I have realised and agree with the
Researchers who have found out three reasons why people donate:

• “I donate because I value the social good done by the charity”.

• “I donate because I extract value from knowing I contribute to the
social good for the charity”.
Srinivas Devale • “I donate because I want to show off to potential mates how rich I am”.
(Secretary/Trustee)

Also, people are more likely to donate based on feelings, not logic. And stories that focus on the plight
of one individual seem to have a greater emotional impact. This aspect is very visible in crowd funding.

There are 5 reasons why giving is good for you. :

1. By giving you derive happiness.
2. Giving is good for our health.
3. Giving promotes cooperation and social connection.
4. Giving evokes gratitude.
5. Giving is contagious & spurs a ripple effect of generosity through our community.

I am immensely happy and privileged to be closely associated with all the Foundation Programs And
Schemes:
• Sponsor a Child (SaC) Program.
• Special Day Special Deed ( SDSD ) Program. It was indeed a great opportunity to wish the over 3000
visionaries on their Birthdays, Marriage Anniversaries and other Occasions.
• Old Age Home Elderly Citizens Program distributing over 300 Reading Glasses and 100 walking
sticks.
• Adoption of Bhavsar Village at Pamdi (Andhra Pradesh) program where we have carried out
number of activities like distribution of Sewing Machine, Blankets, Jeans, SaC Scholarships etc, we
are now in the process of renovating the vey dilapidated toilets and so on.

I am thankful to our Founder Shri. Narayan Rao Tatuskar and the Trustees for all the support extended to
me while carrying out my duties towards a noble cause. I am also privileged to be working directly under
our Chairman Sri. K. V. Rao.

Finally, let me express I have derived a great solace in doing this charity work and shall continue to do so
till my eternity. I take this opportunity to call upon fellow visionaries to come forward and get involved
and support the Foundation activities. Let us together build a great organisation for a good and noble
cause!

35
Benefits Of Giving Charity
...avail benefits of CSR Funding

“Please note all of us can do great things…

But we can do small things with great love...”
- Mother Teresa
What a paradox? How can anyone benefit by giving money, clothes, services
and organs benefit - that too for free? Does it benefit those who give or those
to whom you give? You must believe that what you give to the world is
returned to you threefold, sevenfold, or even tenfold! This experience bears
out of your beliefs. The only way you’ll find out is to start!

Once you start giving and when start feeling good about it and witness the
happiness and joy on the faces of such beneficiaries you begin to give more.
Avinash Somvanshi This will have a viral effect and motivate countless others to follow your
President BVI - Navi Mumbai example. Your generosity could create a chain reaction benefitting so many
needy individuals and families.

When you donate you create opportunities to meet more people and communities. You gain recognition
amongst your friends, relatives and the communities. Your close family members especially your
children derive pride watching your generosity. Your action motivates your friends and relatives to
participate in charity work

Indeed, social scientists have identified a host of ways in which charitable behavior can lead to benefits
for the giver, whether economically, socially or psychologically. Charitable giving is the act of giving
money, goods or time to the unfortunate, either directly or by means of a charitable trust or
other worthy cause. Most forms of charity are concerned with providing basic necessities such as
food, water, clothing, healthcare and shelter, but other actions may be performed as charity: visiting
the imprisoned or the homebound, ransoming captives, educating orphans, even social movements.
Accordingly, we have following positive effects of giving to charity.

Your charity improves the standard of living of our neighborhood and community. Seeing the
improvements around, for which you are also a cause, gives you general happiness and life satisfaction.
Happiness in others ushers in feel good factor and reduces your stress levels. In short you give material
support to the needy and in return you get happiness!

At the very least, your gifts to charity will be rewarded with tax breaks. The government gives you the
benefit in the form of a reduced tax liability under Income Tax Rule 80 C. Business Owners can
especially benefit from this if they give through their businesses. Now, the Business Houses can give more
under the ‘ Corporate Social Responsibility ‘. The company and its employees derive happiness in getting
associated with good and noble deeds of the Company.

Experience the joy of giving…!!

Spread Love everywhere you go.
Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier…!!

36
OUR APPROACH

BVI Foundation has been granted 80G benefit under the Income Tax Act. With
this, Donors can get income tax exemption on 50% of their donations at the tax
slab applicable to the Donar.

BVI Foundation has applied for FCRA ( Foreign Currency Registration Act ) for
accepting Donations in Foreign Currency from NRIs’ and other International
Citizens / Corporates and this is in the advance stage with Ministry of Home and
Ministry of Finance. On getting approval, the Foundation will be qualified to
receive Donations in Foreign Currency.

From the financial year 2018-19, the BVI Foundation will plan and attract
Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) Fundindg. This activity will take
Foundation to the next level.

Under the Sponsor a Child (SaC) and Special Day Special Deed Programs,
the BVI Foundation targets to grant scholarships to at least 500 needy students
annually.

The on going work-in-progress project of "PAMIDI Smart Colony Development

Program" shall be targeted to be fully completed and will be model for such
projects, in future.

Old Age Elderly In India- Dilema
... Gen-Next’s reluctance to support

Traditionally, parents were respected, revered and worshipped same way

as God. Nowadays, this is a rare commodity. This realisation dawned on me
while carrying out the BVI Foundation’s program of supporting the elderly
at Old Age Homes wherein the foundation distributed, across India, 250
customised reading glasses and 100 walking sticks The plight witnessed of
some of the elderly was painful and made my eyes moist with anguish and
worry.

Reality is hard. Ageing fathers and mothers are left alone to fend for them-
selves. The elderly parents have been disrespected, neglected, ignored,
Kishan Rao Gadale abandoned and in some cases even verbally abused. As a result the elderly
(Trustee ) suffer from failing health, economic security, isolation neglect and as said
in some cases verbal abuse. I fail to fathom why the so called NRI Children also abandon their ageing
parents. This behaviour and attitude to their ageing parents is unexplainable, forgetting what parents
have done and sacrificed for their upbringing.

A study reveals that there are 80 million elderly Indians. Of whom 40% (32 million) suffer in different
ways as expressed above. In 55% of the cases, the primary abusers are sons. How disgusting ? In
23% cases, the abusers are daughter-in-laws. The more shocking case is that 39% parents are abused
by beating.

Why are the children so different and irresponsible today? Simple. I realised the prime cause for such
callous behaviour of the children was due to rapid urbanisation, competitive lifestyle amongst relatives,
friends and colleagues, aspirations for more lifestyle products (arising out of Television exposure),
hunger to move forward forgetting the social cause and the emotional connect.

My dear Children: we tend to forget the reason we came into this world and for what we are today are our
parents. Our parents taught us to talk and walk, educated us, made us a mature human being and we
survived all diseases because of our mother’s care and so on. They sacrificed for your growth, happiness
and success. Spent all their earnings and time on you. Please understand old age is a phase everyone
reaches. Remember; in few years it is your turn. What goes around comes around. My advise: support
and take care of your parents when they need you. Give them little love, attention, care and they will ride
gladly into the sunset of their life. Looking at you, your children will reciprocate the care and support.

Dear Senior Citizens : you have given enough to your children in their upbringing, educating, marrying
them and settling them socially. Thereafter, no need to worry after them. Enjoy the saved money in your
own health betterment, spending time with your spouse and friends and derive peace and satisfaction by
donating to a noble cause !

Why Everyone Should Give To Charity?
...Benefits Of Giving Charity

Millie Thorton once said, “Generosity is a principle - not an amount.” I too

believe is a principle and that everyone should. There are a multitude of
reasons why everyone gives to charity. Charities give services to the needy
without asking anything in return.

Charities every year help millions of people with whatever problems or

situations they are in. It makes it possible to come up with advanced and
new age cures to diseases such as AIDS and Cancer. If anyone knew that his
or her small contribution helped save a life, or went to securing the lives of
millions that would be a wonderful thing to experience.

Any gift is better than giving no gift. Start at a level you are comfortable with
Jayashree Belamkar
(Hubli) now, increase if, or more likely when, you feel able and willing to. Look at
what your generosity does for others and also observe the good that it does
for you.
Giving to a charity helps make our communities better places to live. This is possible by helping to
provide goods and services to people who might not otherwise have access to them. When we raise the
standard of living for the least able among us, we raise our own standard of living in the future.

Charity is one of the noblest tasks that a person can do in his or her life. According to different religious
beliefs, our life on earth is just a transitionary phase of an eternal journey towards salvation. So this brief
period that we are on earth, which we call life, has to be lived with a purpose. For some people the true
meaning of life is the joy of giving. They realize this dream of theirs by engaging in acts of charity. A
charitable person loves his fellow-beings and likes to help them in distress.

Corporations, charitable trusts and societies make contributions in areas of poverty-alleviation, food
supply, education and health. But, this does not necessarily mean that one has to be a billionaire to show
charity. Even simple actions like feeding or teaching the people in need are acts of charity. Everyone can
do his or her own bit, and it would make some difference to another person’s life. Also, actions need not
be trumpeted. It should be done from the heart and not for publicity or other commercial purposes. The
best form of charity is the one in which the identity of the donor remains hidden.

Finally, I strongly believe that making charitable donations will make this world a better and happier
place for everyone.

Our Credentials (Contd..)

44
Our Credentials (Contd..)

45
Donate to save life
...Organ donation is the best service to god

God created this world. We trust that the Almighty cares for everyone but
still we find that this universe is full with grief and misery; also it has amplitude
of vices and virtues. Some are very rich and many are poor and downtrodden;
while majority of the living beings are normal, there are blinds and physically
challenged ones too. We take pity upon these accursed but try to evade
them because we have our own conflicts and have no time to think of the
pains and troubles these unfortunate humans have to face. In the current
world of thick population, stiff competition and less of value-teaching in
schools and homes, man is fast becoming self-centered and indifferent.
Benevolence and altruism appear to be words from other planets for them.
In metros like Mumbai, some commuter trying to cross the track is run over
by a local train or some recklessly enterprising youth strikes against a pole
Sudhir Kshirsagar
Solapur) along the track and is badly injured.

These incidents take place very frequently; immediate reaction to this by the co-commuters is disapproval
by hisses commenting ‘I am sure to get late in the office today due to this foolish guy who has detained
the train; don’t know how long will the postmortem continue and when will the train restart for its
destination!’.

Railway officials have to carry out the panchnama which takes time and due to various other reasons like
traffic jam and long distance of the hospital, medical aid to the wounded person is not provided in time
which results into the death of the victim. Urbanization is thus fast overwhelming the cities and humanity is
getting buried thereunder. The underlying message is the need to be compassionate and empathetic
towards mankind from the social angle. Whatever we possess, it is gifted to us by the society so
it becomes our moral duty to find opportunity to return the same to the needy and troubled lives.
Humanity has a feeble and bleak place in today’s world when one is engrossed in earthly matters and is
hankering after material pleasures; however, like a silver lining in the black cloud, there are people who
believe in giving rather than expecting. This altruism has to increase so that a culture is established in the
society to spare the organs of their akins and relations who are likely to breath their last due to sickness
or old age, which can be implanted in the body of the needy person who is on the verge of death.

Ogan transplants save lives. Also, donor families have expressed that the act of donation helps them in
their grieving process. It does not take away the pain of their loss; however, it does help them to know
that someone else is alive because of their loved one’s donation. Listed below are some of the ways organ
transplants help recipients:
• Heart transplants for patients with diseases such as cardiomyopathy, congenital heart disease and
coronary artery disease.
• Lung transplants for patients who suffer from diseases such as emphysema, pulmonary fibrosis,
cystic fibrosis, or pulmonary hypertension.
• Liver transplants for patients with diseases like hepatitis or biliary atresia.
• Kidney transplants for patients with diseases such as diabetes, hypertension or polycystic kidney
disease.
• Pancreas transplants to treat diabetes.
• Intestine transplants for patients suffering from short bowel syndrome, among other disorders.

46
A heart transplant, or a cardiac transplant, is a surgical transplant procedure performed on patients with
end-stage heart failure or severe coronary artery disease when other medical or surgical treatments have
failed. As of 2016, the most common procedure is to take a functioning heart from a recently
deceased organ donor (cadaveric allograft) and implant it into the patient. The patient’s own heart
is either removed and replaced with the donor heart (orthotopic procedure) or, less commonly, left in
place to support the donor heart (heterotopic procedure). Approximately 3500 heart transplants
are performed every year in the world, more than half of which occur in the US. Post-operation survival
periods average 15 years. Heart transplantation is not considered to be a cure for heart disease, but a
life-saving treatment intended to improve the quality of life for recipients.

Organ donors may be living, brain dead, or dead via circulatory death.Tissue may be recovered from
donors who die of circulatory death, as well as of brain death – up to 24 hours past the cessation of
heartbeat. Unlike organs, most tissues (with the exception of corneas) can be preserved and stored for
up to five years, meaning they can be “banked”. Transplantation raises a number of bioethical issues,
including the definition of death, when and how consent should be given for an organ to be transplanted,
and payment for organs for transplantation. .To bring transparency in the process of organ donation our
Govt. has formulated a law which tries to prevent the trade of organs.

To conclude I appeal to all conscientious human beings to look upon the mankind as the children of
God as they think they are and like in case of their own akin in difficulty they would have spared their
organ they should voluntarily make a deed expressing that immediately after they die their body may be
donated to genuine institutions in whose hands their usable organs shall remain safe and may be used
in transplanting into the body of the needy. Donating blood is said to be an act of humanity, donating
organs should be regarded as the best service to the God because it saves a dying life. Nothing is more
precious than life so donate to save a life!
