Residence:
 The residence building is located on the northeast edge of campus with its own
entrance off London Road.
 There are 140 shared rooms available with two beds (all beds are double extra long
54” x 80”), two desks with chairs and desk lights, and two armoires with shelving.
 Each room has a bathroom - including a toilet, sink and shower - shared by the two
residents in that room.
 Residents are responsible for cleaning their own rooms, including the bathrooms.
Housekeeping will clean the bathrooms once a month.
 Students must provide their own bedding, linens and towels.
 The College network is included. Residents must have wireless Ethernet network cards
in computers prior to arriving at Lambton College. This network does not allow for
high bandwidth downloads. Students may purchase a high speed internet hook-up
from Cogeco at their own expense.
 A 7.4 cf fridge and microwave is provided in each room. There is a kitchen area
available to the residents. No cooking appliances with an open flame or open burner
are allowed in residence due to fire regulations. Residents must bring their own
cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc.
 Barbeques and bike racks are available in the courtyard.

Off -Campus Housing:

Signing a Lease
 Before you sign a lease it's important to ask a lot of questions. For example,
accommodations obtained in a private home is different from that in a self-contained apartment
or house. The householders may set special conditions that they enforce.

The student and householder should have a written mutual agreement that includes:
 Telephone privileges (especially with regard to long distance calls)

 Conditions for use of the kitchen (cleanliness, clean-up etc.),

 Parking options

 Smoking/drinking in the home

 Visitors
