TAKE NOTE:

Margins

- For the first page of any chapter, the left, top and bottom margins should be 40mm(1.5 inches) wide
- For the rest of the pages, the left margin should be 40mm(1.5 inches) and the top and bottom
margins should be 25mm(1 inch).
- The right margin is 25mm(1 inch) for all pages. Make sure test is always justified on both sides. Use a
five-space indention for every paragraph.

Spacing

- The body of the thesis should be typed doubled-spaced. The following however, should be single-
spaced.
o Abstract
o Footnotes
o Quotations longer than three lines
o References (except between entries)
o Headings or subheading
o Multi-line caption of tables, figures, illustrations, etc.

Pagination

Pages should be numbered consecutively throughout the thesis, including pages of figures,
tables, appendices and bibliopgraphy/references. Page 1 begins with the first page of the first
chapter. Page numbers are not to be enclosed by parentheses, hyphens or other decorative
devices.

Preliminary pages preceding the first chapter are numbered using small roman numerals (i, ii, iii,
etc). The title page should not be numbered although it is counted as page i.

Page numbers are placed at the center of the bottom of each page.

Paper
Use white letter-size (8 ½ x 11 in). Orientation should be portrait style.
Font
Font should be Arial with twelve-point size for the text. Text Color is black. Typing should always
be neat, clean and uniform.
