b. Final observation about our seedling on its 14th day

We noticed that the plant is starting to grow. The Pili tree is now at the majestic height 55 cm more
or less there are 52 leaves poked out. It is perfectly green straight and strong and healthy, as this is
planted to a healthy soil. We are delightful that the plant grow so evenly. Apart from a slight hiccup on
Day 4. We feel quite proud of our plant.

c. Daily basis for it to grow

There are three major requirements for a seedling to grow: water, oxygen and warmth (the
temperature depends on the specific seed). In order for seeds to grow into plants, they need soil
containing nutrients, water, sunlight (but others require dark conditions), the right temperature, room
to grow, and time. It is important to be diligent about regular watering, especially when the weather is
high or low temperature. We irrigate in the evening or early morning using 300 ml of warm water.
When it’s raining we don’t irrigate it, we let the plant absorb the mist/water coming from the rain.
When in dry or hot days we irrigate the plant once.

d. Reflection
Reflection

Anywhere you go you can see lots of garbage like pet bottles/ plastic bottles, old
papers, magazines, etc. But this garbage can be recycle and be reuse. Most people don’t
care what will happen to Mother Nature if they keep throwing things anywhere. If we
practice to recycle and reuse, we can save the Earth. Just like what they said "My Pera sa
Basura" and I do believe in that.

For example instead of throwing bottled water, why not recycled it like make it a small
flower pot or maybe a sprinkler. Old magazines and old newspaper can be sell and you can
get money. Old clothes can be given to the shelter house or give it to the needy. It is better
to give those things to the needy and be helpful to the people and as well as to Mother
Nature.
