LEARNING OBJECTIVES : By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

1. Explain the importance of national identity to a


country (knowledge)
2. Nurture the sense of proud towards national identity
(socioemotional)
3. Practise the pillars of Rukun Negara (action)
ACTIVITIES : 1. Teacher shows different pictures related to
certain races in the country.
2. In pairs, students guess which items relate to
which race.
3. In pairs, students list down the activities that
they can do to promote national identity to
others.
4. Students match the traits for each items to the
respective races.
5. In groups of three, students demonstrate a role
play to promote national identity
TEACHER’S REFLECTION : Objective achieved. Students managed to relate to the
values and comprehend the lesson. However, students
were still trying to familiarise themselves with the new
approach.
