WANTED!! Harmful bacteria

and viruses
HELP! HELP! Please help! A horrible disease is spreading
through town! We need to find it and get rid of it before it can
do any more damage. I heard you were the best tracker in
town, so I am coming to you to help me track down this
horrible criminal. You wouldn’t believe the things this guy has
done. He gets inside the body and…well, I’ll leave that up to
you.
 Task
Okay tracker, here is your task: You need to learn all about
this criminal so you have a fighting chance at capturing him.
Begin by studying up on infectious diseases. Learn all about
them so you know exactly what you are getting yourself into.
Then, create a very specific wanted poster so we can get
everyone in town involved in the search. This is an all out
disease hunt!! Make sure your poster includes everything about
this guy. We don’t want him hiding or giving us the slip! The
faster we find him, the safer everyone will be. They change
quickly ya know, so there is no time to waste! Use the sites and
worksheets provided to help you with your task! Now get
going!
 Process
Let’s get to work. We should start by learning all about
infectious diseases. Answer the questions on the worksheets
provided to learn all about these guys. You will begin by
learning the ins and outs of bacteria and viruses. You will fill-in
a web outlining their characteristics, comparing them to each
other and looking at how they can be good and bad for us.
Then, you will pick a specific bacteria or virus and begin to
research for your wanted poster. Once you obtain all the
necessary information, it’s time to create your poster! Open up
a word document and create it right on the computer!!
Remember, these will be displayed around town, so make sure
it contains the necessary information AND looks good!! We
want it to catch the publics’ eye so we can guarantee a capture!
