will facilitate a discussion of where we see actors, what they do,

E Description Assessment

Exploration Teacher will suggest that students collaborate to retell the story
of Llama, Llama, Red Pajama (read previously in the week). To
prepare, teacher will encourage students to think about what
they might need in order to act out the story as it is read.
Teacher will read the story dramatically, focusing on the
characters, plot, setting, and props.

Explanation Teacher will show the following video to show children how to
retell a story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w33-m8-geuM
Teacher will prompt students to brainstorm what they will need
to prepare to retell the story. Together, they will list:
 Characters
 Props
 Settings (and how they can represent them)

Elaboration Students will gather needed props, “costumes”, and any other
creative products needed to retell the story. Teacher will assist
students in recording their dramatic retellings. Students (with
needed prompting and guidance from the teacher) will use the
Story Creator app to create their own interactive book that
retells the story of Llama, Llama, Red Pajama.
