QUESTION 1
The case study examined the analysis, preparation and structuring of one of the first PPP projects
in Kenya and Uganda: the joint concession of Kenya’s and Uganda’s Railways. Given the
information provided in this case study, the most important reason explaining the outcome of this
project is:the lack of investment in long-term infrastructure

QUESTION 2
The outcome was mostly due to the nature of the risk-sharing structure of project that was
developed by the PPP feasibility study

QUESTION 3
If I were asked to manage a team that would conduct a feasibility study for a railway PPP in my
own company, the first step that I would have followed including the establishment of project
management committee, do proper PPP project identification and selection, followed by a
feasibility analysi and project structures.
