A. What do you know about Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering? Please
compare the profession and responsibilities for the mathematicians,
physicist, and engineer!
Definition :
1. Mathematics
Is the science of structure, order, and relation that has evolved from elemental
practices of counting, measuring, and describing the shapes of objects. It deals
with logical reasoning and quantitative calculation, and its development has
involved an increasing degree of idealization and abstraction of its subject
matter1. Mathematics is a fundamental science that encompassing all fields of
knowledge Because math give precision and clear source so we can get the
certainty not just a hypothesis

2. Physics
Physics is a natural science based on experiments, measurements and
mathematical analysis with the purpose of finding quantitative physical laws for
everything from the nanoworld of the microcosmos to the planets, solar systems
and galaxies that occupy the macrocosmos2. Those mean physics is a knowledge
that created by the analysis of every natural incident. For the example the law of
force, Newton found it because of an apple was fell down to his head. Physics
also define how the incident happen and measure the amount of the factor.

3. Engineering
The creative application of scientific principles to design or develop structures,
machines, apparatus, or manufacturing processes, or works utilizing them singly
or in combination; or to construct or operate the same with full cognizance of
their design; or to forecast their behavior under specific operating conditions; all
as respects an intended function, economics of operation and safety to life and
property3. We often wrong to understanding engineering, like only think that
engineering is creating machine , electricity, and instrumentation. But every
applied science was an engineering too. Like biological engineering that often
used in food and beverage industry , environmental engineering to processing
waste and etc.

- Comparison of the science:

The first, mathematic was the fundamental aspect of every science. Because
to create any measurement or count something to make scientific formula, we need
math inside of it. Because math give precision and clear source so we can get the

certainty not just a hypothesis. The second, physics is a natural science based on
mathematical analysis, so every aspect of our activity can analyzed into physics law.
The third, engineering is the application of scientific principles. So engineering is
the combination of scientific principles to create something from it. And there is no
comparison between all of those three topics. The only difference is math is the base
aspect, physics contain of math and measurement, and engineering was the
application of science, that means engineering contain of math and physics too.
- Comparison of the profession :
Mathematician is someone who uses an extensive knowledge
of mathematics in his or her work, typically to solve mathematical problems. There
are 3 types of mathematician, such as : mathematical teaching, abstract mathematic,
and applied mathematics. Physician or physicist is a scientist who specializes in the
field of physics, which encompasses the interactions of matter and energy at all
length and time scales in the physical universe. We can say that physicist is one of
the applied mathematics. Because physics contain of mathematical calculation and
the application of mathematics. Engineers are professionals who invent, design,
analyze, build, and test machines, systems, structures and materials to fulfill
objectives and requirements while considering the limitations imposed by
practicality, regulation, safety, and cost. Engineer use physics and any other science
as a base for their project. So engineer is more specific definition of someone
(professional) who do an applied science as their duty of their job.
B. List and classification of physics related governing laws
Clarification of expertise in engineering physics
1. Instrumentation and control
focus on the development of instrumentation including the
manufacturing, design, until the application of instruments and control.
Detection, observation, measurement, and data acquisition process is learned in
some field from the industry to medical applications..
2. Building physics, Acoustic, and Vibration
about the phenomena of sound and vibration, including human hearing
system and its applications e.g. speech synthesis, noise mapping, vibration
analysis, and building physics
3. Engineering materials
About material science including the development and application of
composition, structure, processing, and characterization of material. The
analysis of material for certain system is also learned both by experiment and
simulation.
4. Optics and laser

3
About light and its applications in four main areas e.g. image processing,
optical device, optical fiber, and spectroscopy.
5. Energy engineering and environmental conditioner
About energy and environmental engineering (thermal engineering). The

C. Example Of Emerging Technology That Related To Engineering Physics
1. NFC
Near-field communication (NFC) is a set of communication protocols that enable
two electronic devices, one of which is usually a portable device such as
a smartphone, to establish communication by bringing them within 4 cm (1
1⁄2 in) of each other
NFC devices are used in contactless payment systems, similar to those used in
credit cards and electronic ticket smart cards and allow mobile payment to
replace or supplement these systems. This is sometimes referred to as
NFC/CTLS (contactless) or CTLS NFC. NFC is used for social networking, for
sharing contacts, photos, videos or files. NFC-enabled devices can act as
electronic identity documents and keycards. 4
NFC works on the principle of sending information over radio waves. Near
Field Communication is another standard for wireless data transitions. This
means that devices must adhere to certain specifications in order to
communicate with each other properly. The technology used in NFC is based
on older RFID (Radio-frequency identification) ideas, which used
electromagnetic induction in order to transmit information.5
NFC is the pathway of the future. NFC offer checking balance of e-money
without go to atm and safer than any other transaction and transfer data between
2 devices wirelessly and safer. Because the system of NFC use electromagnetic
induction make us should near those devices in minimum of 4cm range that
make a safer and faster way to transfer any data
