 SITE VISIT IN THE OFFICE OF DOTR MRT-3
Introduction:
In this narrative report I will be discussing our experience throughout our site visit. This would be my first time to attend
on a site visit at the office of DOTR mrt-3 at Trinoma. For me, I felt tired in this field trip however, it is safe to say that I
had so much fun knowing more about the railway system in actuality meeting new friends while the trip is also part of
the experience that I would be thankful.

As we wait for them to be assisted at the entrance of the office of the DOTR we notice how the entrance was. It leads
directly downward of the stairs knowing that we need to go underground the Trinoma establishment. As we go down
we walk through a hallway that is full of office of different department seeing that, we assume that the office consist of
many branches that helps each other depending on their departments. In the underground, the place there was hot.
Workers there must be feeling hot every day. As we went on, the coordinators discuss about the parts of the boogie
while I’m still fascinated by the metal works of the boogie. After that we continue the tour we stop and discuss about
how the rolling stock is transported to their maintenance. I learned about the Unimog which is the vehicle that helps
transport the rollingstock . We then proceed to try the lever that change the course of the rail I notice it is hard to pull
but we the workers it is easy for them to use it we also went to a room that provides the railway to move or to give
electric load. As the coordinator introduces the room, it contains many transformer for it to power the whole railway
system. We then proceed to go further to the next place where the park there rollingstock for repairs or maintenance.
We also went on the place where the driver drives the rollingstock. After the rollingstock yard we went from
underground to the ticketing booth where they explain about the ticketing system and how the schedules of each
railway works. After that, we finish our visit by giving thanks to the coordinators from the office of DOTR for giving us
once in a lifetime experience for visiting their place of operations.

In conclusion, it was an exhausting trip however, I truly can say that the visit was a success because it gives me
inspiration being in the field of mechanical engineering. It can encourage us future engineers to pursue our dreams and
become one of the people who will contribute greatly not just for our country but the whole world as well.
